Why Can My Kid Pass Every English Exam But Not Speak a Sentence?

A 95 on the English test and total silence with a stranger can absolutely coexist, and there's a well-understood reason why. We sat down with an applied linguist who studies how classroom English does (or doesn't) turn into real-world speaking to explain why your kid's foundation isn't wasted; it's dormant. Inside: the difference between knowing a rule and using it, why "finish the grammar first" holds kids back, whether an online speaking course actually helps, and how it can run alongside school instead of clashing with it. The bookshelf problem, the missing strands, and how the gap closes, it's all here. You can find us here: Online English for Kids Parent Academy Instagram Facebook Linkedln

Why My Kid Understands English But Goes Silent When It's Time to Talk?

Your kid gets every word the teacher says, but won't say a single one back. So is staying quiet a problem, or a normal part of learning? We sat down with a second-language development expert to unpack the gap between understanding and speaking, why pushing harder usually backfires, and what parents should say (and never say) during a lesson. Silent phases, the anxiety filter, scaffolding toward independence, and how to make speaking feel safe enough to try, it's all here. Why Won't My Four-Year-Old Focus? The Science Behind Kids and Online English

Your kid loses focus mid-lesson, and they're singing, wiggling, talking to a toy dinosaur. Sound familiar? Turns out, that's science. We sat down with a developmental psychologist to find out what's actually going on in your preschooler's brain, bust a few myths that are causing parents unnecessary stress, and figure out what a truly good online English lesson looks like at this age. Short attention spans, silent phases, the power of play, etc., it's all here. You can find us here: Online English for KidsParent Academy InstagramFacebookLinkedln
