Marriage as a Covenant: Genesis 2:23-24

TITLE: Marriage as a Covenant | When Love Becomes a Commitment | The Table Network Ep. 7 DESCRIPTION: Marriage was never designed to be built on convenience. It was established by God as a covenant — a sacred commitment that goes beyond feelings, circumstances and seasons. In this episode of The Table Network, we sit around The Table to have an honest, faith-filled conversation about marriage as God intended it. What does it truly mean when Scripture says, “the two shall become one flesh”? How do we honour our marriage covenant when life becomes difficult? And what does it take to build a marriage that is rooted in God rather than convenience? Together, we explore the beauty, responsibility, sacrifice and grace that come with choosing one another, even when the journey is not easy. Scriptures guiding our conversation: 📖 Genesis 2:23–24 📖 Ecclesiastes 4:9–12 📖 Malachi 2:14–15 📖 Mark 10:6–9 Marriage is not simply about finding someone to love. It is about building a life together, with God at the centre. Covenant isn’t the absence of hard seasons; it’s the commitment that outlasts them. Whether you are married, preparing for marriage or seeking to understand God’s design for marriage, there is a seat for you at The Table. 💬 Join the conversation: What does marriage as a covenant mean to you? The Power of Prayer: James 5:16

What does it truly mean to live a life of prayer? In Episode 5 of The Table Network, we sit around the table to explore The Power of Prayer — not as a religious routine or something we turn to only in moments of need, but as an ongoing relationship and partnership with God. Anchored in James 5:16, “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much,” we unpack what Scripture teaches us about a prayer life that is consistent, fervent, persistent and rooted in dependence on God. Through Genesis 1:26–28, we reflect on the authority and responsibility God gave humanity and what that means for our partnership with Him through prayer. We look at Moses in Exodus 4, the call to “pray without ceasing” in 1 Thessalonians 5:17, Jesus’ teaching on the secret place and persistent prayer, and ultimately, Jesus’ own example of complete dependence on the Father. Around the table, we ask: What does a consistent prayer life actually look like? What does it mean to partner with God through prayer? How do we remain persistent when we haven’t yet seen an answer? What does our “secret place” with God look like? What can Jesus’ prayer life teach us about dependence on the Father?Prayer changes circumstances, but it also changes us. It aligns our hearts with God’s will, deepens our relationship with Him, and reminds us that we were never meant to navigate life independently of Him.
