    Aam Baat- Episode 8 : Condition Applies: ईश्वर की 'T&C'

    Send us Fan Mail   When was the last time you visited a temple without asking for anything in return?  In today’s fast-paced rat race, prayer has often turned into just another item on our daily checklist. We hold on tight to rituals while completely missing the deeper philosophy behind them. With every offering in a sacred Havan, we utter "Idam Na Mama" ("This is not mine")—yet we sit there with a long wishlist of desires.  In this episode, we dive into the unwritten "Terms & Conditions" of faith and life that we often forget to read:  Rule 1: God becomes your guide, not your substitute warrior—you must pick up the bow yourself. Rule 2: Build a relationship with the Divine, not a business deal. Rule 3: Ask for wisdom over material desires ( featuring an inspiring story of Swami Vivekananda and Goddess Kali). Rule 4: Trust His "No" as much as you trust His "Yes".  Stop chasing temporary toys when you can hold the hand of the creator. Tune in to explore the true meaning of devotion, karma, and inner strength! Subscribe so you never miss an episode!  Please visit @kavivar.india at Instagram

    Send us Fan Mail   Is "Ganwaar" just a casual insult, or is it part of a deep-seated historical and administrative structure that has deprived people of opportunities and livelihoods for centuries?  In this episode of Gawaar, we go beyond dictionary definitions to trace the journey of how being a "villager" was systematically categorized as "non-standard" or "inferior".  Key Takeaways: Etymology & History: From Acharya Dandin’s 6th-century Kavyadarsha defining gramya as "unsophisticated" (sabhyetar), to the Persian word Dehqan shifting from meaning "chieftain" down to "ignorant". Colonial Gatekeeping: How Lord Lytton lowered the Indian Civil Service (ICS) age limit from 21 to 19 in 1878, dropping selected Indian candidates from 10 down to 1. Modern Reality: The impact of the 2011 UPSC CSAT pattern change, which saw Hindi-medium selections plummet from nearly 17% to 2.11%, prompting massive student protests in Mukherjee Nagar. Both Sides of the Coin: A balanced look at the arguments surrounding administrative competence, language barriers, and systemic bias. Based on official records, historical archives, and dictionary entries, this episode is a thought-provoking exploration of language, class, and opportunity. Subscribe so you never miss an episode!  Please visit @kavivar.india at Instagram

    Send us Fan Mail   When the dust settles on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, the Kauravas are defeated, and the Pandavas emerge victorious. But as King Yudhishthira stands amidst the silent, blood-soaked ground, a unsettling truth dawns upon him: Is every war truly won, or do both sides ultimately lose?  Written in 1946—against the backdrop of World War II and impending national turmoil—Ramdhari Singh 'Dinkar'’s epic Kurukshetra begins where the traditional story ends. Instead of celebrating triumph, Canto 1 (प्रथम सर्ग) dives deep into Yudhishthira’s profound grief, guilt, and existential struggle over the true cost of justice.  In this episode, we explore:  The Silent Battlefield: How Dinkar turns Kurukshetra into a living witness to destruction. Yudhishthira’s Inner Turmoil: The haunting realization that a kingdom built on lost lives brings no peace. Duryodhana’s Ghostly Satire: A chilling reflection on how victory and defeat lose meaning after mass devastation. The Remorse of Revenge: Bhima’s realization after fulfilling his fierce vows. The Root of Conflict: Dinkar’s philosophical commentary on injustice, greed, and the tragedy of ordinary lives caught in war.  Join us as we revisit this timeless Hindi literary masterpiece and ask a question that echoes across generations: Before we celebrate a victory, do we truly understand its price? Subscribe so you never miss an episode!  Please visit @kavivar.india at Instagram
