Crime Addict — true crime stories for listeners who can't let go of a case. A true crime podcast by OBOMEDIA, built on real events. Every true crime story in our archive begins with a question no one could answer: an unsolved murder, a cold case reopened decades later, a mysterious death the coroner couldn't explain, a disappearance that never made sense. Open the crime files with us. Each episode follows the crime investigation from the first call to the trial — how investigators build a murder case, where a police investigation goes cold, and what justice looks like when it arrives late, or never arrives at all. Some episodes hunt a serial killer who hid in plain sight. Others reconstruct a family murder that tore a town apart, or a murder mystery that turned neighbors against each other. And then there are the missing: a missing person report filed too late; missing persons whose trails went cold within days; a missing woman last seen leaving work; a missing girl whose face was on every screen in the country; a missing man found dead years after he vanished; the missing and murdered whose names deserve to be remembered. We tell every crime story with respect for the victim, for the families, and for those who survived. From the infamous case the whole world watched to the unsolved case you have never heard of, from classic true crime to dark true crime and disturbing true crime, our true crime reports bring you real crime stories, real murder cases, true murder stories and unsolved mysteries — one true crime case at a time, straight from the OBOMEDIA true crime vault. Because if a killer is still out there, the story is not over. New episodes every week. A Ring on a Severed Finger Unraveled What He Did to Her

A Ring on a Severed Finger Unraveled What He Did to Her Fishermen near Huacho found a human arm, a torso stripped of its organs, and a head with its face removed — and a single finger still wearing a small silver ring. That ring became the thread that identified a woman who had sold everything she owned to cross an ocean for love. How do you erase a person so completely, and what gives them back their name? In this episode, we analyze the killing of Blanca Arellano Gutiérrez in Peru. We examine the online romance that drew her from Mexico, the medical student who met her at the airport, the surgically precise dismemberment, and the digital and forensic trail that exposed him. What does it mean to be hopeful rather than naive, and to be betrayed for it? Victim: Blanca Arellano Gutiérrez Age: 50 years old Date: November 2022 Location: Huacho, Peru Perpetrator: Juan Pablo Villafuerte Pinto (and an accomplice) Charges: Femicide and organ trafficking; trial pending - Blanca, a 50-year-old Mexican woman, sold her car, bicycle, and clothes to move to Peru to be with Juan Pablo Villafuerte, a medical student she met online. - After she went silent in November 2022, dismembered remains were found on a Huacho beach, identified in part by a silver ring on a severed finger. - The cuts removing her face and fingertip skin were surgically precise, and luminol revealed her blood across the room she had shared with Villafuerte. - Villafuerte had searched how to wipe her phone, bought garbage bags and disinfectant, and posted TikTok videos of organs matching those missing from her body. - He was placed in preventive detention and charged with femicide and organ trafficking, with his friend implicated in the disposal; the trial was still pending.
