    Empathy is Walking Alongside Somebody and Supporting them in Finding Their Own Answers.  Join Mary and Doug in this conversation about Empathy and our own journeys.  Doug Smith has 21 years of experience working in behavioral health services, including serving as a direct clinician, Clinical Director and Director of Clinical Development. He has a BS in Psychology from Eastern Oregon University and is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Level II. Doug has innovated many modern approaches to treatment services, including developing new patient-centered treatment models. He developed the Emotional Attachment Behavioral Therapy (EABT) model and speaks nationally to professionals in the field about its positive outcomes. Doug is the recipient of the Oregon Association of Addiction Professional’s 2023 Innovator of the Year Award as well as the 2018 Addiction Professional of the Year Community Service Award.      I am the only one that can make me happy with Ray Gregson

    Join Mary and Ray through a positive and comfortable conversation about Ray's journey and knowing " I am the only one that can make me happy". Stay Hopeful  The journey of Greg's life started in December, 2016 when he decided there was no other alternative than to make a substantial change in his life and his mindset. He struggled with addiction, depression, anxiety, and PTSD. His sons and daughters have had behavioral struggles and experienced physical and sexual abuse, as well as suicide thoughts. He successfully navigated a CPS case and used many community resource supports and systems. In the family's effort to rebuild their lives and relationships with each other. This journey began at 50 years of age. Greg eventually came to work for and with many of the support systems that helped to assist his family. Greg has numerous certificates, several working credentials. He is a instructor for and facilitator for unlocking your potential through legacy business cultures. He's a certified peer counselor and a certified peer counselor trainer. Greg does basic mediation training using a trauma-informed approach in all the work he does. He's also a substance use disorder, family navigator. Greg is a member of the Fatherhood Council and the State's SUD Advisory Council.  Through his lived experience is Greg's desire to help empower families and give hope so that others may succeed in their journeys as well. For twenty years, Mary Jadwisiak and Holding the Hope have been championing recovery.   Mary understands the power of hope because her life has been transformed by it. Her personal story of recovery from PTSD, addiction, poverty and isolation is woven though out each keynote, workshop or consultation that she provides. With over a decade of experience in behavioral health, Sarah has facilitated peer support programs, supervised Certified Peer Support Specialists, and developed tools to enhance service accessibility. She is a national and international presenter on mental health topics, including trauma-informed care, peer support models, and family resilience. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and an Associate of Science in Human Services from Columbia College and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University.
