    When Women Rode Dragons

Some stories feel older than memory — they live in our bones, our DNA, and our souls. This is one of those stories: not simply my story, but our story, a remembering of something ancient that has always lived within us. Through a profound spiritual experience with a powerful feminine serpent, Debi received a message to remember the wisdom, strength, and power already within her. Years later, discovering ancient stories of goddesses, oracles, serpents, and the sacred feminine revealed that this experience was part of a much larger story. The myth of Persephone, Demeter, Zeus, and Dionysus offers a powerful map for this remembering. Persephone descends into the Underworld and returns transformed, becoming Queen of the Underworld. Demeter must grieve and discover a new source of power. Zeus represents the structures that seek to define and control the feminine, while Dionysus embodies wildness, ecstasy, transformation, and the breaking of boundaries. Together, their stories reflect a deeper feminine initiation: descent, grief, surrender, transformation, and rebirth. Perhaps the feminine has not disappeared — it has been buried beneath systems and stories that taught us to distrust our bodies, silence our intuition, and seek permission outside ourselves. The Serpent, Goddess, Oracle, Wild Woman, Mother, Creatrix, and Queen have always remained within us, waiting to be remembered. To Re-Divine Ourselves is not to become someone new, but to reclaim what was always there: the wisdom of our bodies, the language of our intuition, and the power of our authentic nature. Like Persephone, we may need to descend before we can rise. Like Demeter, we may need to grieve. Like Dionysus, we may need to break free from what contains us. And like the Serpent, we may need to shed the skin of who we were taught to be. The story was never lost. It was waiting for us to remember. 00:00 — Welcome: The Last Episode of Season One 01:00 — A Story That Lives in Our Bones 02:28 — The Spiritual Journey Begins: The Four Directions 04:06 — She Appeared: The Serpent Vision 06:15 — Her Message: You Are a Reflection of Me 07:00 — The Story They Tried to Erase 07:28 — Women as Embodied Wisdom: Inanna, Maat, and the Serpent Goddesses 09:09 — The Story of Persephone and Why It Matters Now 09:50 — Pluto Out of Bounds: The Astrology of This Moment 11:38 — The Darkness We All Know 12:01 — Zeus, Demeter, and Persephone: The Archetypes Within Us 15:55 — Persephone's Descent as Liberation 18:23 — Venus in Retrograde and the Descent We're All In 21:50 — Chiron, Chariklo, and the Healing of the Unhealable 23:06 — Know Thyself: The Oracle at Delphi 30:15 — The Pythia: Women Who Governed the Ancient World 32:13 — The Serpent Was There First 33:40 — What This All Means for Us Now 35:18 — Introducing the Dragon Riders Course 36:15 — Debi's Pilgrimage: Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam 36:56 — Ha Long Bay: Where the Dragons Entered the Sea 38:37 — See You in Season Two FOLLOW US ON ALL PLATFORMS Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/re-divining-yourself/id6785655744 Spotify Podcasts: https://open.spotify.com/show/033GZYmfmfaqiEZrkICy3U?si=98021032414e4ae7 Amazon Podcasts: https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/dae59708-14b8-4c88-91d1-8ca3182c14e5/redivining-yourself iHeart Radio: https://iheart.com/podcast/337062762/ YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@re-diviningyourself Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/debi_kennison/ #SacredFeminine #RediviningYourself #Persephone #SerpentWisdom #DivineFeminine

    Constructing The New Paradigm

In this episode, Debi interviews Kristie Taylor, a Permaculture Designer and Water Consultant in the Colorado Springs area, about how to build community in authentic and mutually reciprocal ways, and how to navigate the challenges that come with being in community with others. This is an honest and inspiring episode about what is required of us as we move forward into creating a new paradigm, and how small changes and dedication can bring about greater impact and unification. Kristie is a lifelong student of the relationship between people and the living systems that sustain us. Her work is rooted in water, health, regenerative living, and community — observing how the choices we make about what we eat, drink, grow, build, and believe can either reinforce broken systems or help us create healthier ones. She believes regeneration isn't something we do to the land; it is something we practice within ourselves and with one another. At the heart of Kristie's work is a simple question: What would change if we stopped treating ourselves, our communities, and the Earth as separate systems? You Are Not Your Trauma

What if the way we think about trauma is actually keeping us stuck in it? In this honest and quietly provocative episode, Debi takes a loving but unflinching look at our cultural relationship with trauma — how it's defined, who defined it, and whether identifying so strongly with it might be doing us more harm than good. Drawing on Buddhist philosophy, trauma-informed care, somatic wisdom, and her own deeply personal experiences, she explores what it looks like to move from being triggered to choosing your response, from holding on to letting go, and from identifying as your trauma to reclaiming your power in spite of it. This isn't about bypassing your pain — every part of what happened to you is real and valid. It's an invitation to get curious, to find compassion for yourself, and to remember something important: you are driving the bus. Not trauma. Not fear. It's Complicated: What Our Most Painful Relationships Are Really Teaching Us

Some relationships don't fit neatly into love or grief — they live somewhere in between. In this deeply personal episode, Debi opens up about losing her stepfather, navigating a lifelong relationship with her biological father, and the complex PTSD that shaped them all. She explores what it really means to hold two truths at once: I love you deeply, and I cannot be in this with you right now. From boundaries we betray within ourselves before anyone else can cross them, to the unexpected gifts hidden inside our most painful relationships — this episode is an invitation to stop judging yourself for having complicated feelings about complicated people. You're not doing it wrong.
