    Greg: A Lifelong Passion for Motorcycles

    Pete chats with Greg Campbell, a lifelong motorcycle rider who started as a young fella on a chainsaw-powered mini-bike. As a teenager, he rode the forestry trails on East Cape when the gates were still open. He trapped possums and sold the skins to buy his first proper trail bike and these days he rides a bright-red Ducati ST3. Greg’s story is pure New Zealand motorcycling: family, freedom, fixing things yourself, and the quiet realisation that the open roads and tracks he grew up with are getting harder to find and more expensive to reach. We talk about building and restoring bikes, and sailing, the sense of community the binds motorcycling and yachting, and what rising registration and ACC levies actually mean for someone who just wants to keep riding.
