    ARIZONA CARDINALS LOSE TO SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS | DIAMONDBACKS FALL ONE GAME SHORT OF THE PLAYOFFS

    The Cardinals dropped a 36-30 heartbreaker to the 49ers, and the late field goal made the cover. We break down how a 14-point hole, first-half penalties, and a lack of explosive plays kept Arizona from finishing the comeback. Then we turn to the Diamondbacks' latest collapse and make the case that Torey Lovullo's time in Arizona should be over. We also look ahead to Phoenix Suns Media Day and what the internal expectations are for this group. In this episode: 🏈 Cardinals vs. 49ers: Arizona started down 14 and lost the first half to penalties, with McBride and Harrison Jr. involved in the drive-killers. The defense came up with two big plays, the lateral to Deebo and Jordan Watkins' 34-yard reception that set up a field goal. The second half was a different story: TD, punt, TD, TD, field goal. 📊 The numbers: The Cardinals dominated time of possession (39-21) and ran 81 plays to 50, and they made five red zone trips to San Francisco's two. But the 49ers won on explosives, with five receptions over 20 yards, multiple McCaffrey runs over 10, and Purdy's 35-yard run to seal it. Arizona had no runs over 10 and no catches over 20. Brissett finished 38/52 for 280 yards and 2 TD with no INT, while Purdy went 15/27 for 297 yards and 4 TD. ⭐ Standouts: J. Love, Wilson (11 catches, 18 targets), and McBride all had productive days, and Wilson and MHJ came to life.
