    Losing Our Baby, Heaven | Our Miscarriage Story, Faith, and Ways to Honor Your Baby

    This is one of the most difficult videos we've ever chosen to share. Recently, Will and I experienced the heartbreaking loss of our baby through miscarriage. We named our baby **Heaven**, because this precious child will always be part of our family. In this video, I'm sharing our story honestly—the joy of finding out we were pregnant, the heartbreak of learning there was no heartbeat, the grief of saying goodbye, and how God has been meeting us in the middle of our pain. My prayer is that this testimony points people to Christ, even in suffering, and reminds anyone walking through loss that they are not alone. I also wanted to create this video because, after our miscarriage, I learned there are ways some families choose to honor their babies that I didn't know about at the time. I share some of those options in the hope that other parents will have information we didn't have, so they can make the decision that brings them the most peace and best honors their baby. If you've experienced miscarriage, pregnancy loss, or infant loss, my heart is with you. Your baby mattered. Your grief is real. You are not alone, and I pray you find comfort in knowing that God is near to the brokenhearted. Thank you for watching and for treating our family's story with kindness, compassion, and respect.     Who's In Your Corner?

    The importance of having the right people in your corner is crucial. They not only assist you with giving you water, cleaning you up, and encouraging you in between rounds. But sometimes they deliver the hard truth that you are indeed losing the fight and give you instruction on what you need to do to win. They are also able to see angles during the fight that a fighter may not see. I can also speak as a fighter myself, while being in the ring, your cornermen are the only voices you hear while in the fight (even over the loud crowd). Whether you’re winning or losing they are the most important voices you need to hear. The importance of a cornerman also translates to our lives as Christians. It’s important that we rely on the Holy Spirit to discern who we should receive counsel from. Rather during a season of spiritual, mental, physical, and/or emotional battles or a season of victory and blessings, we need Christ-filled people in our life that God has placed to be there.
