Send us Fan Mail Listen in now as our guest, Mara Branscombe, discusses her book, Sage, Huntress, Lover, Queen: Access Your Power and Creativity through Sacred Female Archetypes, and learn how to awaken the wisdom of your feminine soul.  Mara takes an intriguing look at the seven feminine archetypes that prevail in the modern psyche—Maiden, Mother, Sage, Huntress, Lover, Mystic, and Queen—and traces their continuing influence throughout different stages of our life, sometimes dormant, sometimes prominent. As she explores each archetype’s beneficial qualities, its connections to the physical-emotional-mental body, and its shadow aspects, Mara highlights the positive impact these models can have if we embrace them and live them consciously. Step-by-step creative practices, guided visualizations, mind-body rituals, and soulful poetry allow you to embody each archetype, inviting in the light aspects as well as integrating the shadow. Embodiment techniques help you shift your consciousness and untangle from the habitual and unconscious patterns that dim your vital spark. 2. Remembering the Divine Feminine Within, with Tressa Vazquez

Remembering the Divine Feminine Within, with Tressa Vazquez

Send us Fan Mail Listen in now as our guest, Tressa Vazquez, shares the journey of Remembering the Divine Feminine Within. The feminine archetype has gone through many iterations over generations, impacted by many things. Not all of them have been helpful in assisting her to be expressed, valued or fully embodied. Now, we are at a crossroads of opportunity to remember and reimagine what the sacred, whole, empowered Divine Feminine might look like today. We will consider what elements of the Divine Feminine, that have been forgotten, would serve us to reimagine and to reintegrate within ourselves. We will invite understanding of core elements that embody feminine presence into our awareness, hearts and maybe even into our daily lives. Tressa has visited many places around the globe and has seen firsthand the roles the feminine has played out in many of our collective cultures. It is through firsthand experiences, daily practices and love of the divine that Tressa continues to embody her own feminine grace. It is from this place that she shares of the feminine remembrance. Tressa Vazquez is a Holographic Sound Master Practitioner and Lead Trainer through the Institute of Holographic Sound and Inner Balance, Community Circle Steward, Sacred Ceremony/Retreat Facilitator and International Pilgrimage Guide, leading and co-leading trips to Egypt, Peru and Costa Rica, since 2022. Additionally, Tressa has been teaching yoga for 16 years. She is a mother to three and last year became a grandmother.  Tressa's work is rooted in remembrance. Remembrance of love, connection and divinity ... through connecting people, not only to themselves, but to indigenous teachers and teachings, ancient teachings and temples and those living closer to the earth and traditional ways these transformations can be anchored in something lasting. Having experienced a coming home to self that culminated in the most intimate expression of self-love, Tressa now shares of this remembered love energy to create spaces and experiences that allow individuals to remember their own divine, connected, love. In these spaces people can come home to themselves, experience sacred pause through stillness, allow love to be experienced ... the giving, the receiving, the being love. When we come home to ourselves, remember our own inner knowing, and experience connection and love within, then we have the energy and awareness to turn outward … to give gratitude to those around us, to return to the earth and the other elements, to notice our neighbors and their needs, and to hear the call of our life, so that we can live it into its fullness and offer our own gifts and medicine. And to do this all embodied, at home in the self and rooted in love.

The Adverse Effects & Therapeutic Potential of Psychedelic Medicines, with Dr. Richard Louis Miller

Send us Fan Mail Listen in now as our guest, Dr. Richard Louis Miller, discusses The Adverse Effects & Therapeutic Potential of Psychedelic Medicines: A Guide to the Risks & Rewards of Using Psychedelics in Therapy. The psychedelic renaissance has been opening new therapeutic modalities in Western medicine. With the potential to reduce our reliance on pharmaceuticals and improve overall well-being, the use of psychedelics has yielded promising results. However, the increased acceptance and use of these age-old medicines should also be approached with caution and full awareness.  Clinical psychologist Richard Louis Miller provides a balanced analysis of the risks and benefits of psychedelics to ensure their responsible use. He comprehensively details the rewards and potential complications of substances like LSD, psilocybin, ayahuasca, DMT, MDMA, and ketamine to provide thorough risk profiles and a working guide for psychedelic-informed therapy.  Drawing on the latest research, interviews with practitioners, and case studies, Dr. Miller considers physiological effects like nausea, altered heart rate, and blood pressure changes, along with mental effects such as anxiety, reality distortion, and mood disorders often associated with a bad trip. He also includes an extensive, in-depth guide of Psychedelic Clinical Profiles of the 13 most commonly used psychedelic substances, detailing their chemical composition, safety considerations, and legal status.  As psychedelics become more accepted as medicines, it is important that we become fully knowledgeable about their effects. By revealing the benefits and risks, this book is a key resource in the ethical and responsible use of psychedelics.  Dr. Richard Louis Miller has been a clinical psychologist for more than 65 years. He is host of the internet radio broadcast show Mind Body Health & Politics. He founded the internationally acclaimed Cokenders Alcohol and Drug Program and is the creator and chief clinician of the Health Sanctuary at Wilbur Hot Springs in California. Dr. Miller has been a faculty member at the University of Michigan and Stanford University, an advisor on the President’s Commission on Mental Health, a founding board member of the Gestalt Institute of San Francisco, and a member of the national board of directors for the Marijuana Policy Project. 5. Spiritual Intelligence: Activating the 4 Circuits of the Awakened Brain, with Dawson Church, PhD

Spiritual Intelligence: Activating the 4 Circuits of the Awakened Brain, with Dawson Church, PhD

Send us Fan Mail Listen in now as our guest, Dawson Church, PhD, discusses his latest book, Spiritual Intelligence: Activating the 4 Circuits of the Awakened Brain, a groundbreaking exploration of how we are all hardwired for higher consciousness. Based on over 400 scientific studies, this transformative book reveals the brain’s capacity to access states of bliss, compassion, and connection through what neuroscientists call the "Enlightenment Network." Whether through meditation, prayer, or peak performance “flow” states, Dawson demonstrates how anyone can activate these circuits to create rapid and life-changing shifts in wellbeing and health. He draws on decades of cutting-edge research, from Tibetan monks to peak-performing athletes, to show how activating these states rapidly rewires our neural networks for lasting joy, peace, and resilience. With vivid real-life examples such as Nelson Mandela, Joan of Arc, Mahatma Gandhi and Pope John Paul II, Dawson illustrates how spiritual intelligence (SQ) is not a vague ideal but an attainable skillset that shapes our brains for extraordinary happiness.  Dawson is an award-winning science writer with three best-selling books to his credit. The Genie in Your Genes was the first book to demonstrate that emotions drive gene expression. Mind to Matter showed that the brain creates much of what we think of as “objective reality.” Bliss Brain demonstrates that peak mental states rapidly remodel the brain for happiness.  Dawson founded the National Institute for Integrative Healthcare to promote groundbreaking new treatments. Its Veterans Stress Project has offered free treatment to over 20,000 veterans with PTSD over the past decade. Dawson shares how to apply these health and performance breakthroughs through EFT Universe, one of the largest alternative medicine sites on the web.  Dawson’s most recent research focuses on self-transcendent experiences, such as those found in deep meditation and “flow” states. Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging research demonstrates that the EcoMeditation method he developed results in rapid brain remodeling, downregulating regions associated with suffering and increasing activity in brain areas linked to compassion and happiness. Though Dawson retired from active business management in 2023, he continues his journey in science and mysticism with blogs, studies, podcasts and books.

  6. Mindfulness-Based Somatic Emotional Processing, with Robert Weisz, PhD

Mindfulness-Based Somatic Emotional Processing, with Robert Weisz, PhD

Send us Fan Mail Listen in now as our guest, Robert Weisz, PhD, discusses Mindfulness-Based Somatic Emotional Processing: A Guide for Patients & Therapists, a book co-authored by Daniel Blackwood, MA, a valuable guide for working with emotions and unprocessed traumas. Developed by Dr. Robert Weisz, Mindfulness-Based Somatic Emotional Processing (MBSEP) is an accessible practice that combines mindfulness and somatic perception to help regulate emotions and process traumas that are stored in the body. The authors present the tools and techniques of MBSEP and demonstrate these concepts and methods through decades of case studies and practical, step-by-step exercises. The authors explain how we are emotional beings who feel and experience our emotions in our bodies. They explain the contrast between the somatic, body-based experience of emotions as opposed to the mental, cognitively-based stories, explanations, and judgments of the thinking mind. They describe the “struggle factor” and why it is futile to resist having negative emotions.  They demonstrate how to be mindfully present with emotional states like anxiety, anger, and grief and detail the healing influence of compassionate attention. Their methods foster neuroplasticity to create and expand neuronal linkages in the brain and nervous system. They also show how MBSEP can be integrated with other healing modalities. Revealing how we can access the hidden truths within our feelings, this guide presents an effective protocol for processing emotions and for processing and regulating emotions. Robert Weisz, PhD, is the developer of MBSEP and a retired clinical psychologist with more than 50 years of experience as a psychotherapist. His deep interest in the healing process and states of consciousness led to three decades of learning and healing work with shamans in Peru, Ecuador, and Brazil. He lives near Santa Fe, New Mexico, in a beautiful mountain home with his partner Diane, two cats, and many tree and rock friends.
