Faithfulness, Gentleness & Self control: Can God trust you with what He has given you?

Faithfulness, Gentleness & Self-Control — Can God Trust What He Has Given You? What is God trying to produce in you? In the final episode of our Fruit of the Spirit series, we explore the final three fruits found in Galatians 5:22–23: faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These three fruits challenge us to examine our character when nobody is watching, when we're frustrated, when we're tempted to react, and when our desires are pulling us in a different direction. I'll share honestly about my own journey of learning to remain faithful to what God has called me to—including this podcast and, most importantly, my relationship with Him. I'll also talk about learning to slow down my reactions, seek God before responding, and understand that I don't have to act on every emotion or desire. Most importantly, we'll talk about what it means to be set apart and to live a life that belongs to God. Because faithfulness asks: “Can God trust me with what He has placed in my hands?” Gentleness asks: “Will I allow someone else's behavior to change my character?” And self-control asks: “Does every desire I have deserve my obedience?” As we close this series, we're bringing all nine fruits together and asking the question that matters most: Not perfection. Not performance. Transformation. 📖 Scriptures We Explore💭 Reflection Questions Galatians 5:22–23 — The Fruit of the SpiritJohn 15:1–8 — Abiding in Christ and bearing fruit1 Corinthians 4:2 — FaithfulnessMatthew 11:29 — The gentleness of ChristProverbs 25:28 — Self-control1 Corinthians 9:25–27 — Spiritual discipline2 Timothy 1:7 — Power, love, and a sound mindTitus 2:11–12 — Learning to live with self-control and godlinessCan God trust me with what He has given me?How do I respond when I'm offended?Do I allow other people's behavior to determine my character? What desires am I learning to surrender to God?Where is God asking me to exercise more self-control?Am I faithful when nobody is watching? What fruit has God been developing in me throughout this series? What fruit still needs to grow? And finally: This isn't about claiming perfection. It's about being willing to say: “God, keep changing me.” “What is my life producing?” If you stood before God today and He asked, “What did you do with the character I was trying to build in you?”—what would you say?

Patience, Kindness and Goodness: Who are you becoming while you wait?

🎙️ Episode 2: Patience, Kindness & Goodness — Who Are You Becoming While You Wait? What if the thing you're waiting on isn't being delayed—but God is using the waiting to develop you? In Episode 2 of our Fruit of the Spirit series, we dive into three fruits that are often tested when life doesn't go according to our plans: patience, kindness, and goodness. Waiting can make us frustrated. Being mistreated can make us want to retaliate. And doing the right thing can be difficult when nobody is watching. But what if those moments are exactly where God is developing our character? In this episode, I'll share part of my own journey of waiting on God and learning that sometimes He doesn't change the situation first—He changes us first. I'll also talk honestly about learning not to “match energies” when people hurt or frustrate me, and how God has been teaching me that kindness doesn't mean allowing people to mistreat me. It means refusing to let someone else's behavior change the character God is developing in me. And when it comes to goodness, we're challenged to ask: Who am I when nobody is watching? Because God sees the choices we make in secret. He sees our obedience, our struggles, our motives, and the person we're becoming. 📖 Scriptures We Study📝 Reflection Questions💭 The Question to Carry With You Galatians 5:22–23 — The Fruit of the SpiritJames 1:2–4 — Patience, perseverance, and spiritual maturityRomans 5:3–5 — Perseverance producing character and hopeEphesians 4:32 — Kindness and compassionGalatians 6:9 — Don't grow weary in doing goodMicah 6:8 — Walking humbly and doing what is rightMatthew 6:4 — God sees what is done in secretPATience What am I currently waiting on God for?Am I trusting God's timing, or am I trying to take control? What might God be developing in me during this waiting season? Can I desire something deeply while still surrendering the timing to God?KINDNESS How do I respond when someone hurts or frustrates me?Do I tend to “match people's energy”?Am I allowing someone else's behavior to change my character? Can I maintain kindness while still having healthy boundaries?GOODNESS Who am I when nobody is watching?Do my private choices match my public faith?Am I doing what is right because I want to honor God or because I want recognition? What is God asking me to surrender or change?“Who am I becoming while I wait?” Maybe the waiting isn't wasted. Maybe the difficult people aren't opportunities to become bitter. Maybe the quiet seasons aren't empty. Maybe God is using all of it to refine you.

Love Joy & Peace: What is growing out of you?

What is growing out of you when life gets difficult? In this first episode of our Fruit of the Spirit series, we dive into love, joy, and peace from Galatians 5:22–23 and take an honest look at what our lives are producing. The Fruit of the Spirit isn't about appearing spiritual or checking off a list. It's about allowing the Holy Spirit to transform us from the inside out. We'll talk about what it means to love like Christ, find joy in God rather than our circumstances, and experience a peace that doesn't always make sense to the world around us. I'll also share a personal testimony from a difficult season when I had to surrender a relationship that was pulling me away from God. I learned that God's love was greater than what I was afraid to lose, His joy could become my strength, and His peace could carry me through what I didn't think I could let go of. Sometimes God isn't asking us to hold on tighter. Sometimes He's asking us to surrender. And sometimes what feels like God taking something away is actually God protecting what He's trying to grow inside of us. Galatians 5:22–23 — The Fruit of the SpiritJohn 15:1–8 — Abiding in Christ and bearing fruitJohn 13:34–35 — Loving as Christ loved usPhilippians 4:4 — Rejoicing in the LordNehemiah 8:10 — “The joy of the LORD is your strength”Philippians 4:6–7 — God's peace guarding our hearts and mindsTake some time after the episode to sit with these questions: LOVE Do I love people only when they love me back? Can I love someone without agreeing with everything they do?How do I treat people who cannot do anything for me?Do my words make people feel valued or diminished?Am I asking God to help me love people I naturally struggle with?JOY Is my joy dependent on my circumstances? What happens to my attitude when things don't go my way?Have I confused happiness with spiritual joy? What has God already done that I can praise Him for?Can I worship God while I'm still waiting for the answer?PEACE What am I carrying that I haven't surrendered to God?Do I pray about my problems or only think about them? What situation keeps stealing my peace?Am I trying to control something God is asking me to trust Him with? What would surrender look like for me today?“God, what is growing inside of me right now?” Where do I need more love?Where have I lost my joy? What am I struggling to surrender? What fruit do I see God growing in me?What fruit needs more cultivation? Don't just listen to this episode—let it examine you. Accused: Guilty or Innocent; What will my life testify?

What if you knew that one day you would stand before your King and give an account for the life you lived? Not for the image you created. Not for what people thought of you.Not for how successful you appeared. But for what you did with what God entrusted to you. In this episode of Steadfast — Biblical Truth. Daily Encouragement. Unshakable Hope., we take an honest look at what Scripture says about standing before Christ, the reality of judgment, salvation by grace, spiritual fruit, obedience, stewardship, and the mission God has given each of us. Are we simply saying we know Jesus—or do our lives demonstrate that we actually follow Him? Are we using the gifts, opportunities, and responsibilities God has placed in our hands? Are we pursuing God's assignment, or have we become distracted building our own? And perhaps the most important question: If your life were examined today, what would it testify about your relationship with Jesus? This isn't a message designed to leave you in fear or condemnation. It's an invitation to wake up, examine your heart, return to God, and live faithfully while you still have time. Because we aren't called to be perfect. We're called to be faithful. And one day, when the race is over, may we be able to say: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7 📖 Scriptures Discussed • 2 Corinthians 5:10• Romans 14:10–12• Ephesians 2:8–10• Matthew 7:21–23• Matthew 25:14–30• John 15:1–8• John 17:4• 2 Timothy 4:7–8• James 1:22–25• James 4:13–17• Psalm 90:12• 1 John 1:9• Romans 3:23–24• Galatians 6:9 Reflection Question:If I stood before my King today, what would my life testify? One decision away from a totally different life.

What if the life you’ve been praying for is on the other side of one decision? Sometimes we ask God for change while remaining comfortable in the same place. We pray for purpose, breakthrough, growth, and a new season—but we may be overlooking the simple truth that faith requires movement. In this episode we’re talking about what it means to stop settling, stop staying stagnant, and make the decision to move forward with God. Because the greatest danger isn't always failure. Sometimes the greatest danger is becoming comfortable where God never intended you to stay. We’ll look at the Israelites and how fear, complaining, and disobedience kept them wandering in the wilderness. We’ll talk about Peter stepping out of the boat, Ruth choosing faithfulness, and the importance of persevering when we don't immediately see the harvest. God’s promises don't always come with an easy path. Sometimes the next season requires a decision: Will you stay where you are, or will you trust God enough to take the next step? Choose to trust.Choose to obey.Choose to keep walking.Choose not to give up. Because God's best is often on the other side of perseverance. Why one decision can change the direction of your life The danger of becoming comfortable in a place God never intended you to stay Why we shouldn't settle for less when God is calling us forward What Israel's wilderness journey teaches us about fear, complaining, and disobedience How the Promised Land became a picture of trusting God's promise Peter's decision to step out of the boat Ruth's courageous decision to follow God into the unknown Why faith requires action Why perseverance matters when you don't see immediate results How to recognize when God may be calling you to take the next step The difference between waiting on God and refusing to move Why you shouldn't give up in the chapter where God may be preparing you for what's next Deuteronomy 30:15–20Choose life. Study the surrounding verses to understand what Moses meant by choosing life and remaining faithful to God. Joshua 24:15“Choose this day whom you will serve.” Consider what it means to make a deliberate decision to follow God. Numbers 13–14Study Israel's response to the Promised Land. Pay attention to how fear affected their decisions and how unbelief affected their journey. Matthew 14:22–33Study Peter stepping out of the boat. Ask yourself what faith looked like before Peter ever saw the miracle. Ruth 1:16–18Study Ruth's decision to remain faithful when she couldn't see what the future held. Galatians 6:9Study what Scripture says about continuing to do good and not giving up when the harvest hasn't appeared yet. Philippians 3:12–14Study Paul's attitude toward pressing forward rather than remaining focused on what was behind him. Isaiah 43:18–19Study God's promise to do a new thing and consider what it means to recognize what God may be doing in a new season. Proverbs 3:5–6Study what it means to trust God instead of depending entirely on your own understanding. James 2:14–18Study the relationship between faith and action. Hebrews 11:6Study why faith is essential in our relationship with God. Joshua 1:9Study God's encouragement to Joshua to be strong and courageous as he stepped into a new season. Hebrews 12:1–2Study what it means to run the race with endurance and keep your eyes on Jesus. Where have I become stagnant? What decision have I been putting off? What fear is keeping me from taking my next step? Am I waiting on God, or am I refusing to move? What am I holding onto that God may be asking me to release? Am I settling for comfort when God is calling me forward? What if the breakthrough I'm praying for requires perseverance? What is one faithful step I can take this week? Your life changes one step at a time, but the direction shifts with one decision. Choose to trust.Choose to obey.Choose to keep walking. Don't give up in the chapter where God may be preparing you for what's next.

Set Apart- Gods Call to Holiness. "What does it mean to be Holy?"

What does it really mean to be holy? For many of us, the word holy can feel intimidating. We often associate it with perfection, strict rules, or living a life that's impossible to attain. But is that what the Bible actually teaches? In this episode of Steadfast, we're uncovering the true meaning of biblical holiness and discovering that God isn't calling us to perfection—He's calling us to Himself. Holiness is about being set apart, transformed by His presence, and reflecting His character in a world that desperately needs His light. Together, we'll explore what Scripture says about living a holy life, why holiness is a response to God's grace rather than a way to earn it, and how the Holy Spirit empowers us to become more like Jesus every day. If you've ever wondered: What does it mean to be holy? Is holiness about following rules or having a relationship with God? Can ordinary people truly live a holy life? How do I remain set apart while living in today's culture? ...then this episode is for you. We'll dive into powerful passages from 1 Peter 1, Isaiah 6, Romans 12, John 15, Galatians 5, Matthew 5, and more as we discover that holiness isn't about striving harder—it's about surrendering deeper. Key Takeaway:Holiness isn't about becoming someone God will finally love. It's about becoming more like Jesus because He already does. 1 Peter 1:15–16 Isaiah 6:1–8 Romans 12:1–2 John 15:1–8 Galatians 5:16–25 Luke 9:23 Matthew 5:13–16 Daniel 1 Reflection Question:Are you trying to appear holy, or are you allowing God to transform your heart from the inside out? The Armor that Hell can't penetrate! Don't Fight Naked!!

What if some of the battles you're facing aren't meant to make you quit—but to teach you how to stand? In this powerful episode of Steadfast — Biblical Truth. Daily Encouragement. Unshakable Hope., we dive deep into Ephesians 6:10–20 and explore what it means to put on the Full Armor of God and remain steadfast when the enemy is trying to distract, discourage, deceive, and pull you away from the path God has called you to walk. Spiritual warfare is real, but so is the power God has given us to stand. We'll unpack each piece of the armor: 🛡️ The Belt of Truth — Learning to recognize the enemy's lies and stand firmly on God's Word. ❤️ The Breastplate of Righteousness — Protecting your heart and understanding the difference between condemnation and God's conviction. 👣 The Shoes of Peace — Learning how to remain grounded when life around you becomes unstable. 🛡️ The Shield of Faith — Using faith to extinguish the attacks of fear, doubt, temptation, and discouragement. ⛑️ The Helmet of Salvation — Guarding your mind and taking your thoughts captive. ⚔️ The Sword of the Spirit — Learning why the Word of God is our weapon and how Jesus demonstrated its power when He was tempted. 🙏 Prayer — Understanding why prayer surrounds the entire armor and keeps us dependent upon God's strength. We'll also examine Ephesians 6:10–20 in its larger context, including the reality that our struggle is not ultimately against people, but against spiritual forces. And we'll ask an important question: Are you reacting to spiritual attacks, or are you preparing before they come? Primary Passage:• Ephesians 6:10–20 — The Full Armor of God Supporting Scriptures:• Zechariah 4:6 — "Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit."• John 15:5 — Apart from Christ, we can do nothing.• John 8:44 — Satan as the father of lies.• 1 Peter 5:8 — Be alert and watchful.• James 4:7 — Submit to God and resist the devil.• Genesis 3 — The enemy's strategy of deception.• Colossians 2:15 — Christ's victory over spiritual powers.• Colossians 1:16 — Christ's authority over every power.• 2 Corinthians 5:21 — Our righteousness through Christ.• Romans 8:1 — No condemnation for those in Christ.• John 16:33 — Christ's peace in the middle of trouble.• Isaiah 26:3 — Perfect peace through a mind fixed on God.• Hebrews 10:24–25 — The importance of Christian community.• Matthew 4:1–11 — Jesus using Scripture against temptation.• Hebrews 4:12 — The Word of God as living and powerful.• 2 Corinthians 10:5 — Taking thoughts captive.• Romans 12:2 — Renewing the mind.• Philippians 4:8 — Focusing our thoughts on what is true and godly. Take some time to honestly examine your spiritual life: Which piece of God's armor have I been neglecting? Am I fighting people instead of recognizing the spiritual battle behind the situation? What lies have I believed that God's Word says are not true? Where have I allowed fear, doubt, offense, temptation, or discouragement to weaken my faith? What thoughts do I need to bring into obedience to Christ? Am I reacting to attacks, or am I preparing myself spiritually before they come? What areas of my life need more prayer and dependence on God? What is God asking me to surrender so I can stand more firmly in Him? Am I standing in my own strength, or am I learning to be strong in the Lord? What would change in my life if I truly believed that Christ has already won the victory? You don't have to be afraid of the battle. You don't have to fight in your own strength. And you don't have to run every time opposition comes. Stand. Put on truth. Guard your heart. Walk in peace. Raise your shield of faith. Guard your mind. Use the Word. Pray without ceasing. Because the enemy may form weapons against you, but he does not have the final word over your life. You are called to stand steadfast.

My hearts a runaway but my soul is willing

My Heart Is a Runaway, But My Soul Is Willing Have you ever found yourself loving God while your emotions pulled you in the opposite direction? Have you ever wanted to trust Him, obey Him, and stay faithful, yet your heart felt tired, distracted, disappointed, or ready to run? In this episode of Steadfast, we explore the tension between our emotions and our spirit. We'll discover what it means to have a heart that wanders while your soul still longs for God. Together, we'll unpack why God calls Himself a jealous God—not because He is insecure, but because He passionately desires a relationship with us. We'll also see that although God relentlessly pursues our hearts, He will never force Himself into a place where He is not welcomed. If you've been struggling with fear, disappointment, temptation, spiritual exhaustion, or feeling distant from God, this message is a reminder that your feelings do not have the final word. God's love continues to pursue you, His grace remains available, and He is still knocking on the door of your heart. No matter how far your heart has wandered, your soul can always find its way back to the One who has never stopped waiting for you. Key Scriptures Matthew 26:41 — "The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." Jeremiah 17:9 — The heart can be deceptive and cannot always be trusted. Psalm 42:11 — Speak hope to your soul when your emotions are overwhelmed. Galatians 5:16–17 — The ongoing battle between the flesh and the Spirit. Proverbs 3:5–6 — Trust God rather than leaning on your own understanding. Exodus 34:14 — "The Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God." Revelation 3:20 — Jesus stands at the door and knocks. Luke 22:42 — Jesus chose the Father's will over His own. Luke 15:11–32 — The Father's pursuit of the prodigal son. Reflection Questions What has your heart been running toward that God is asking you to surrender? Have your emotions become louder than God's promises? Is there an area of your life where you've closed the door to God? What distractions or idols have been competing for your attention? When was the last time you allowed God's Word to speak louder than your feelings? Are you following your emotions, or are you allowing your soul to be led by the Holy Spirit? What would wholehearted surrender look like in your life today? If Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart, what is keeping you from opening it completely? Remember, a runaway heart doesn't mean God has given up on you. His love still pursues you, His grace still calls you, and His invitation remains the same: Come home.
