The Recognition Room Pod

We are two Splenic Projectors, one a healer of the mind and one healer of the body, who come together to discuss all things human design and the depth of the human experience. We like to dive deep into topics that fascinate us and learn more about what it means to be human. We ground Human Design into our real lived experiences, the everyday practical ways that Human Design shows up, all through our projector insight.

In the Room with Us: Jered Bailey

Welcome to the Recognition Room podcast with Megan and Madalyn. This week we have our first guest in the Recognition Room, welcome Jered to the space! Go find Jered and send him some love: Instagram: @PerspectivetrainerJered’s website: www.perspectivetrainer.com  Jered is an embodiment coach and the founder of Perspective Trainers and Breathe Tacoma, where he helps people build a deeper relationship with their emotions, nervous system, body, and inner world. We talk about what happens when you spend years trying to heal, understand yourself, and find your way back to who you really are. Jered shares his own journey from focusing almost entirely on his physical body to realizing that the deeper work was learning how to actually feel. We get into the ways we disconnect from sensation, how emotional conditioning can shape the way we move through the world, and what becomes possible when we start treating our bodies as a source of information instead of something to override. And then, of course, we get into Human Design. Jered is a 4/1 Emotional Manifesting Generator, and we explore his relationship with being a deeply curious person who has moved through many different identities, interests, and chapters of his life. Rather than seeing all of those versions of himself as chaotic or disconnected, we talk about the thread underneath them all: the desire to know himself more deeply and turn lived experience into wisdom. We also talk about visibility, creativity, relationships, boundaries, and what it means to stop trying to be understood by everyone. Jered shares his intention behind creating content: “weird 'em in.” Instead of trying to appeal to everyone, he's learning to put out the signal for the people who resonate with what he's creating and let the right people find him. There's a lot in this conversation about trusting your body's yes and no, choosing relationships that feel reciprocal, letting yourself be seen more fully, and recognizing that all of the different versions of you may have been leading you somewhere all along. Ultimately, this episode is about coming back into relationship with yourself enough to say: This feels right for me. This doesn't. This is what I want to create. These are the people I want to connect with. And I don't need everyone to understand me for it to be true. Because maybe the goal isn't to become more palatable. Maybe it's to become more you, and let the people who are meant to find you recognize themselves in what you're creating. Join us like you're in the room with us. Madalyn’s Birthday, On Feeling Loved, & Inner Child Comfort Meals

Welcome to the first Recognition Room podcast with Megan and Madalyn! In this episode, we talk about birthdays, romance, being loved in the ways that actually land, and how our childhoods shape the ways we experience consideration, food, family, and relationships. We get into the strange differences between growing up with siblings and growing up as an only child, the comfort foods and traditions we carry with us, and the generational stories that can live inside something as simple as bread on the dinner table. We also talk about books, gardening, collecting knowledge, tarot and oracle cards, and the desire to surround ourselves with the things that spark curiosity and make us feel connected to ourselves.  And we explore what it means to build a sense of belonging when you live somewhere that doesn't quite feel like home yet, including learning to notice the cycles of the land around you when they don't look like the seasons you grew up with. And, because this is the Recognition Room, we inevitably find our way into Human Design, embodiment, fear, and the deep waters we both love to look at but aren't necessarily ready to jump into. This one is less about having a big takeaway and more about recognizing how much of who we are lives in the small things: what we crave, what we collect, what makes us feel loved, what reminds us of home, and what our bodies instinctively know. Shadow Work and Identity Shifts

Welcome to the first Recognition Room podcast with Megan and Madalyn! It is audio only for this episode because Megan’s daughter is hanging out with us this time. In this episode, we talk about shadow work, shame, parenting, embodiment, and what happens when we stop treating every uncomfortable emotion as something that needs to be solved. We explore how our shadows can be learned survival strategies, how they show up in the body, and how becoming aware of them can help us reclaim more of who we are. We also get into the very real-time process of transition: changing careers, learning to trust what comes naturally, honoring the body's limits, and noticing the difference between doing something because we're aligned with it and doing something because we're trying to prove ourselves. As always, we weave Human Design into the conversation, exploring the two line, open centers, splenic authority, and what it can look like to move from intellectually understanding your design to actually embodying it. And somewhere along the way, we come back to one of the biggest themes of this podcast: maybe you're already doing better than you think you are. Maybe the work isn't becoming someone different. Maybe it's learning to recognize the parts of you that have been there all along. Listen in as we talk about shadow work, nervous system awareness, conscious parenting, career transitions, embodiment, and the strange, beautiful process of becoming more yourself. Moving through emotions as a “non-emotional” & activating the defined root center through intentional movement

Welcome to the first Recognition Room podcast with Megan and Madalyn! This week, we dive into the experience of feeling stuck, navigating seasons of waiting, and learning how to recognize ourselves instead of constantly chasing what's next. Through conversations about Human Design, nervous system healing, emotions, journaling, and the everyday practice of surrender, we reflect on what our inner world is trying to tell us when motivation disappears and apathy quietly shows up. We also talk about movement as medicine, postpartum healing, reconnecting with the body after trauma, and the profound impact of being truly recognized by the people closest to us. Along the way, we explore how self-recognition, supportive relationships, and honoring our own rhythms can become some of the most transformative healing practices we have. If you've been in a season of waiting, questioning why you feel stuck, or learning to trust yourself through uncertainty, this conversation is a reminder that sometimes the deepest transformation isn't found in doing more. Sometimes it is important to slow down long enough to hear what your inner knowing is saying to you. Join us in the room. Cleaning fans & joining the jet stream of Channel 5-15

Welcome to the first Recognition Room podcast with Megan and Madalyn! In this episode of The Recognition Room, we're talking about what it really looks like to honor your energy inside the ordinary rhythms of everyday life. From creative burnout in the kitchen and traveling with a toddler to navigating relationships with partners who move through life very differently than we do, this conversation explores the tension between structure and flow. We dive into the Human Design mechanics behind timing, surrender, the 5–15 Channel, projector wisdom, and what happens when we stop trying to control someone else's natural rhythm. Along the way, we reflect on partnership, parenting, household dynamics, and the invisible work we each carry. We share how Human Design has helped us move away from comparison, embrace each other's strengths, and create relationships that feel more collaborative than transactional. If you've ever found yourself frustrated that someone doesn't do things the way you do, or wondered how to let go of control without losing yourself, this episode offers a grounded, honest conversation about what it means to trust the unique flow of the people you love. Our Origin Story

Welcome to the first Recognition Room podcast with Megan and Madalyn! In our very first episode we introduce ourselves, talk about what got us into Human Design, and we reflect back on how we met in Puerto Vallarta at a Human Design retreat. At that retreat, we found out that because we are born exactly 3 months apart, we share a complete half of our Human Design charts and other wild similarities that lead us into winding rabbit holes together. We explore the experiences that shaped each of us from trauma healing and motherhood to solo travel, bodywork, therapy, and Human Design. We talk about how our roads led us here.  In this podcast we also dive into: Why Human Design is fascinating to us The synchronicities that connected us Trauma, nervous system healing, and learning to trust yourself How our Human Design charts complement one another What "recognition" really means and why it's at the heart of this podcast This conversation is an invitation into what you can expect from The Recognition Room: honest conversations, deep curiosity, lived experience, and a space where every part of being human is welcome.  Whether you're curious about Human Design, healing, relationships, or simply love meaningful conversations that go beyond surface level, we're so glad you're here.
