The tools changed overnight. The calling didn't. If you're a creative who loves God and feels the ground shifting under your feet, this show is for you. AI didn't end creativity. It just handed us new material for the workbench. Artism Rules unpacks the theology of making, the faithful workflow, and how to create without fear in the AI era. Some episodes teach. Some tell stories. All of them remember one thing: you were made in the image of a Maker. New episodes weekly. Pull up a chair.

    Is Using AI Cheating?

Get the Book - https://bit.ly/artism-rulesIs using AI cheating?Last time we asked if AI art is stealing. This one is quieter. It's the one that keeps you up at night. Not "you took something from someone else," but "you didn't really do it. You skipped the hard part. It doesn't count."I know that voice. It's half true. And the half that's a lie is stealing your peace. In this video I break down what cheating actually is (it was never about the tool), the two tests that settle the question for good, and the deeper fear hiding underneath it: if a machine can do it in 9 seconds, was your gift ever really special? Here's the short version. The photographer didn't cheat the painter. The painter with premixed paint didn't cheat the guy grinding his own pigment. Cheating requires deception and it requires going limp. Stay honest. Stay in the room. That's the whole assignment.TWO TESTS COVERED IN THIS VIDEO:1. The Honesty Test. If someone asked how you made it, would you flinch? The flinch is the tell.2. The Stewardship Test. Are you still growing, still bringing judgment and taste and wrestling? Or have you outsourced the soul of it?Next up: is it an actual sin for a Christian to use AI at all? That's where we're headed.GET THE BOOKArtism Rules: 10 Irrefutable Principles of Being Creative in the AI Era is live now. #1 bestseller on Amazon, sold globally in 175 countries and 30 major bookstores.https://bit.ly/artism-rulesMore at artismrules.comIf you got value from this, subscribe and leave a comment. Why Creatives Are Fighting About AI (And Who's Actually Profiting)

Get the Book - http://www.artismrules.com There's a great divide happening right now in the creative world. You're either a creator who uses AI or you're never-AI. Pick a lane.I know good people on both sides. Not people online. People I actually love. One side says AI became part of how they think, and without it they're not sure they'd still be working. That's not laziness. That's survival in a market that moved. The other side says it's theft with better PR. Models trained on the work of real artists who were never asked, never credited, never paid. That's not a Luddite talking. That's someone paying attention. Two good people. Same industry. Both right about something. And they won't speak to each other. This video is about who benefits from that silence. The tool is not the villain. The tool is a synthesizer, and you're the musician. The villain is the thing that convinced you the person across the aisle was the problem while it quietly ate your afternoon and sold it.In this video:The steelman for both sides of the AI debateWhat the algorithm monster actually measuresWhy your side of the fight is inventoryThe 20/70/10 rule for using AI downstream of your intentionThree things you can do this weekArtism rules. Being Invisible Made Me a Better Artist (Why Great Artists Stay Quiet)

Get the Book - http://www.artismrules.com All the Gurus are telling you to build a personal brand. Nobody is telling you when to build the artist.I scrapped the video I planned and talk honestly about the art of being low-key. Why I spent years as a digital ghost. Why I posted work on accounts with no name on them. Why the pressure to feed the algorithm is one of the weakest frequencies a creative can live in. I share the warehouse I opened in Walnut, California at 21 and shut down a year later. The shame that came with it. The coffee shop conversation with my friend James that changed the whole direction of my career with one question. And the thing my film school teacher told me on day one that I refused to accept until it saved me. This one is unpolished on purpose. No dopamine edits. Just the meat of it.If you are a musician, painter, writer, photographer, filmmaker, or designer trying to find your voice in the AI era, this is for you. ARTISM RULES. Is AI Art Stealing? A Christian's Honest Answer

Get the Book - http://www.artismrules.com Is AI Art Stealing? A Christian's Honest Answer | Faithful in the AI Era "You didn't make that. You stole it." If you're a Christian creative using AI and someone has thrown the word theft at you, this video is for you. Before you defend yourself or quit in guilt, let's actually deal with the strongest version of the accusation, because there's a real argument underneath it and it deserves an honest answer. In this episode, creative director and author John Mediana steelmans the case against AI art, including the claim that AI-generated religious art violates the Eighth Commandment ("you shall not steal") and the deeper argument that a machine can never make sacred art because it has never prayed, wept, or wrestled with God. Then he pulls apart the one confusion that keeps everyone stuck: the difference between how a tool was built and whether you are stealing when you use it. The answer runs through the sub-creator framework this channel is built on. God creates ex nihilo, out of nothing. Humans don't originate, we steward. Every artist who ever lived trained on work they didn't make and didn't pay for, from the painter studying the masters to Ansel Adams walking up to a mountain God already carved. AI is just the newest material on the workbench. It rearranges what already exists. It has never once made something from nothing, because that is God's signature and no machine can forge it. But there's a line we won't cross. The critic who said a machine has never prayed is right, and we hold onto that. The soul of the art was never in the machine. It was always in you. That's not a reason the tool is worthless. It's the reason you are irreplaceable. If you're an artist, writer, musician, designer, or maker asking whether AI art is theft, this is a biblical, honest, and freeing place to think it through. Why AI Can’t Kill Your Creativity

Get the book - http://www.artismrules.comHave you been told your creativity is just a hobby? In this first episode of Faithful in the AI Era, creative director and author John Mediana makes the biblical case that your creativity is the fingerprint of God on your life, not a threat to be replaced by artificial intelligence. If you're a Christian creative, artist, writer, musician, or maker wrestling with what AI means for your calling, this is for you.We open Genesis and discover that the very first thing we learn about God is that He creates. From there we trace the doctrine of Imago Dei (the image of God), meet Bezalel, the first Spirit-filled artist in the Bible, and unpack why humans are sub-creators, a concept championed by J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis. Along the way we answer the question so many believers are quietly asking: Is AI a threat to Christian creativity, or is it simply the newest tool on the workbench? The takeaway is simple and freeing. AI creates nothing from nothing. Only God creates ex nihilo. AI recombines what already exists, which means it is a tool, not a rival god. What you bring to the workbench (your discernment, character, worship, and taste) is the part no machine can replicate. Garbage in, garbage out.
