Born with hemophilia A in the 1950s, Bill has witnessed extraordinary medical breakthroughs, devastating challenges, and generations of advocacy that transformed the lives of people with bleeding disorders. From his mother Barbara's pioneering advocacy efforts to the HIV/AIDS crisis, the evolution of treatment, and today's insurance challenges, Bill shares a remarkable firsthand perspective on how far we've come and what's still at stake. At the heart of their conversation are two non-negotiables: access to knowledgeable care and a way to pay for it. Together, Sarah and Bill explore why these essentials have mattered for generations, why advocacy remains critical, and what today's patients and families must do to protect the progress made by those who came before them.
