✒️ Story Time 9: The Light Keeper of Pebble Cove✨🪽

😡 A Burning Match Across the Bay Imagine you’re running a lighthouse during a perfect nor’easter, and your helper brings you ruined feed for your birds. And just like that, you snap. You let out a quick, thoughtless spark. Then you watch as that one little spark flies across the bay and starts a total wildfire of chaos and confusion. Suddenly, because of your words, a boat is in trouble. Phew. That is exactly where our main character, Eliza, finds herself in today’s story, “The Light Keeper of Pebble Cove.” This is a tricky, high-seas lesson on realizing that once we drop a spark of unkindness, we can’t exactly gather the smoke back up. We talk a lot with our girls about choices, but in the heat of a frustrating moment, it is so hard to choose the slow, intentional ‘honeycomb’ words over the fast, emotional, ‘fire’ words. Today, we’re walking alongside Eliza as she learns how life-saving kind, clear, encouraging words can be—especially when the sea gets rough. This story goes hand-in-hand with Episode 9: Words That Build! 🌱🖨️✨ Grab Your Story Time Printables! Want to turn this cozy story into a hands-on activity? Here for the freebie? How did that change your mood? * Eliza felt her face get hot and her chest tighten right before she wrote that angry note. What signals does your body give you when you’re getting frustrated, and what can you do to pause before those sharp words fly out? * What is one specific, encouraging sentence you can say to someone in your family or community today to help build them up? 🤗 BTW—I’d Love to Hear From You! 🍯 Ep. 9: Words That Build | Honeycomb Words Daily Speech Tracker 🐝💬

🪵 Sticks, Stones, and Taming the Wildfire Tongue We’ve all seen it happen in real-time: a tiny moment of frustration strikes, and before anyone can catch it, a hot little “wildfire word” escapes and scorches the whole living room. Controlling our tongue isn’t easy—even for adults! But in this episode, we’re diving into how words hold actual power to either tear down or build up the people around us. Through our story today, your girls will learn how to spot those snappy, reactionary words before they leap off their lips, turning potential wildfires into sweet, life-giving “honeycomb words” that encourage parents, sisters, and friends. 🌱🖨️✨ Grab Your Weekly Printables! Grab our free, custom activity sheet from Episode 9 and color in a honeycomb cell every time you catch a spark or share an intentionally kind word! 👉 [Download the Free Episode 9 Printable Here] Want to go deeper? ✨ Grab the Premium Companion Bundle over on Payhip or Etsy for the complete weekly experience! I put this episode together to give your girls a tangible, visual way to practice filtering without feeling shamed when they slip up. When we reframe kind speech as something sweet, constructive, and delightful—like honey—it transforms “watching your tongue” from a chore into a joyful daily mission. Thank you for letting me partner with you as you raise wise, kind, and resilient young women! 🔍 How to Listen & Engage Today: * Listen: Tune in directly through our Substack Seed & Star Hub, or pull it up on your favorite podcast player while you make dinner, crochet a cool hat, or drive to Trader Joes! * Engage: Print out the Honeycomb Words Daily Speech Tracker ahead of time. 🪡 Story Time 8: The Hands That Hold the Thread 🧵💪

🚪Inside the Cedar Creek Community Center... In this story time episode, we’re heading indoors to a bustling community hall in Cedar Creek for the annual Quilt and Blanket Drive! Ten-year-old Mabel wants to help carry the heavy stuff so the grown-ups don’t have to do it all. But when a towering stack of wool quilts tumbles to the floor, sending spools of yarn rolling under the tables, her face burns with embarrassment. Thankfully, wise Mrs. Gable is there with a warm hand and a gentle reminder: on days when the world feels big and heavy, we aren’t meant to hold up the whole quilt all by ourselves. Real strength is about staying connected! This story goes hand-in-hand with Episode 8: The True Source of Strength! 🌱🖨️✨ Grab Your Story Time Printables! Want to turn this cozy story into a hands-on activity? Here for the freebie? This week’s bundle is FREE and includes a beautiful coloring sheet, a full copywork set, a guided reflection journal page, extension activities, grown-up guide, and more! 👉 [Get the Premium Bundle for FREE on Payhip] 🪞 Reflection Questions: Use these questions to chat through the story with your girls over a snack, in the car, or while coloring: * When Mabel tried to carry the entire stack of heavy wool quilts all by herself, they tumbled right to the floor. Have you ever tried to muscle through a hard day or carry a heavy feeling all on your own instead of asking for help? * Mrs. Gable explained that a single patch of cloth blows away in a storm, but when we stay connected and stitched together, we are strong. How does being connected to your family, your friends, and God help you when things feel heavy? * Think about a time when you felt overwhelmed or like you made a mess of things. Who are the people in your life that help you carry your load and remind you that you are never alone? 🤗 BTW - I’d Love to Hear From You! 🔌 Ep. 8: The True Source of Strength + FREE Premium Bundle! 💪

🪵 The “Carry It All” Trap Have you ever tried to carry eleventy-billion things in one single trip just because making a second trip is, for unknown reasons, completely out of the question? We loop things over our elbows, wedge stuff under our chin, and pinch tiny pieces of stuffie fur until our fingers hurt—all for zero trophies or applause. We do it with groceries, we do it with toys, and let’s be honest, we definitely do it with our big feelings, too. We try to be extra brave and keep all our worries locked up tight. But thankfully, we weren’t built to be pack mules. In Episode 8, we’re looking at why God never actually meant for us to muscle through hard days on our own strength, and how learning to “hand it over” changes everything. 🌱🖨️✨ Grab Your Weekly Printables! Grab our free, custom activity sheet from Episode 8 and practice the three steps of “The Morning Hand-Over” by pausing, identifying what feels heavy, and placing it right into Jesus’ steady hands. 👉 [Download the Free Printable Here] 🚨 FREE BUNDLE ALERT! ✨ Grab the Premium Companion Bundle right here for the complete weekly experience! You can find our growing collection of freebie and premium printables in the 🌱 [Seed & Star Resource Vault]! ✨ 🤗 Welcome Back, Friend. Some weeks the world just feels a bit heavier, and our girls feel those big feelings right alongside us. It’s so easy to slip into the false idea that we have to hold it all together on our own. This week’s episode is all about reminding our daughters (and ourselves!) that our energy has limits, but God’s strength is an endless river. By leaning into “The Morning Hand-Over,” we can teach our girls what it truly means to stay plugged into the Vine instead of trying to carry the weight of the world on their shoulders. 🔍 How to Listen & Engage Today: * Listen: Tune in directly through our Substack Seed & Star Hub, or pull it up on your favorite podcast player while you fold laundry, craft, or drive to co-op! * Engage: Print out the “Morning Hand-Over” template ahead of time. Use it to draw or write down what your girls are handing over to God in the quiet morning hours before the rush of the day begins. * Keep the Truth Rolling: Remind your girls throughout the week that they aren’t meant to be the Vine—they are the branches, connected to a boundless source of grace and power. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” — John 15:5 💬 BTW I’d Love to Hear From You! Once you and your girls have listened, I would love to see their completed “Morning Hand-Over” templates or hear about how they are practicing resting in God’s strength this week. 🪺 A Fun Forest Tale (now with wisdom, too! 😉) Hanging out around loud, complaining people drags your energy right into the dirt, am I right?! But after an afternoon of mean jokes and squawking, Taya realizes that her wings feel like lead and her sweet song is completely gone! With a little gentle wisdom from Georgia the Owl, Taya learns why flying with wise, encouraging friends keeps her soaring high. 🪵 Down at the Shores of Mistwood Bay... Have you ever been in the midst of a picture-perfect day when suddenly, the weather turns cold, dark clouds roll in, and plans change out of nowhere? In this week’s Story Time episode, we’re heading down to the wooden docks of Mistwood Bay to meet Mei and her green rowboat, Mr. Pickle!
