    Sister Wives, Season 19, Episode 7: Not Buying the BS

    The episode begins with a quick apology from the besties - this week has been a lot but they’ll catch up soon on Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. They discuss the excitement from the Mexico Grand Prix and then dive right into what was not the most exciting episode of Sister Wives.   Between slightly premature wedding planning with Christine and David to Meri not taking any shit from Kody, frankly, not a lot happened during this episode. We did get some decent discussion about the history of this family, most of it was just Kody being repetitive and cringy, and the rest actually being retrospective about what has happened over the past decade of their lives.   Mel and Jill are best friends who love to enjoy film, tv, books, and more and talk about them together.     Sister Wives, Season 19, Episode 6: Bon Voyage Kody

    The besties start the episode off cheering up Jill from a long day with a little Swiftie talk. With new outfits and surprises at Miami, we’re sure that the final leg of the Eras tour will be lots of surprises.   The besties don’t take too long before diving into another insane episode of Sister Wives. It’s Christmas time again, and where most of the family is learning to deal with the new normal of the holidays, Kody decides to have one final ‘chat’ with Meri about their divorce. It’s probably one of the most disgusting conversations ever to be captured by reality tv show cameras. Like, can Kody never again say the word orgasm? But the besties agreed that Meri held her ground and showed some great positive growth.     Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Season 1, Episode 6: Girls Trip, Part Deux

    The besties kick off this episode with all the excitement from the US Grand Prix. However, Jill was distracted by finishing the Hunger Games trilogy. After a mini digress to talk a little bit about that iconic book series, they dive right into the latest episode of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.   The besties discuss all the jaw-dropping scenes and lines from this week’s episode. From oversharing on medical procedures to unintentionally setting your friends up to fight with their spouses, this episode wasn’t exactly a great example of what female friendships can be. We see more of Dakota and Taylor arguing and continuing their toxic behavior making everyone around them uncomfortable. The wives head to Vegas which brings nothing but trouble for poor Jen.

    Sister Wives, Season 19, Episode 5: Put the Shovel Down

    The besties start out the episode on a somber note discussing the passing of Liam Payne (RIP). In book related news, the upcoming release of the fifth book in the Hunger Games universe has been announced and Jill’s dad officially finished Throne of Glass. They finish the opener with a quick discussion of Meri’s fire TikTok and the many, many interviews Christine and Janelle have been doing.   Mel & Jill dive into the aptly named ‘The Year of Release’ episode and discuss Kody’s inability to have relationships with pretty much anyone. The besties are also grossed out by the picture of the placenta - we did not need that TLC. They empathize with Gabriel trying to navigate the rough waters of a difficult relationship with a parent, but pause briefly to feel happy for Meri getting her release. The ladies end the pod by ranting about just how far Kody has fallen, and the weirdness of wanting to film yourself as you cry in a bathroom.   Mel and Jill are best friends who love to enjoy film, tv, books, and more and talk about them together.     Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Season 1, Episode 5: Maybe It's You

    The besties chat a little about recent SLOMW and Sister Wives headlines and a little U.S. Grand Prix tea. Austin, TX is the place to be in October.   The besties jump right into the fifth episode of this slightly different Mormon show. From rotting their teeth at a soda shop to planning the death of a marriage, most of the group has come out of the tumultuous girls trip with big plans. Except for Whitney, who has chosen to be a whiny baby about literally everything. Just when you think things might be normal, Taylor tries to make Dakota and Mayci play nice at a work event (not cool bro), and then she and Dakota force Mayci to become the unintentional (and very awkward) therapist.   Mel and Jill are best friends who love to enjoy film, tv, books, and more and talk about them together.     Sister Wives, Season 19, Episode 4: So Close, Yet So Far

    The besties talk a little Taylor Swift news, and a quick update on current events for Sister Wives, but really spend a majority of the pod talking about this week’s Sister Wives episode.   After the birth of the twins, both Christine and Robyn come together into a cordial partnership to help Mykelti get used to being a mom of 3. What really matters in this episode is a huge fight between Robyn and Kody over his relationships (or lack thereof) with his kids.     Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Season 1, Episode 5: Bravo Level Drama

    Jill tells Mel about a new who-done-it series she binged over the weekend. Per usual, Jill was happy to report that she correctly figured out the killer in episode 2. Somehow, this led to a discussion on reading smut and what it tells you about a person.   This episode of the Mormon Wives left the besties with whiplash. Accusations and hurt feelings were everywhere on what was supposed to be Mayci’s birthday girls trip. Demi gets into it with several of the ladies, but Whitney really takes the cake with the level of drama.
