    The Fixer

In this conversation, Krishna explores the concept of the 'Fixer' within individuals, discussing the subconscious programs that drive this behavior, the origins of these patterns, and their impact on relationships. The discussion emphasizes the importance of Self energy within the framework of IFS (Internal Family Systems): presence, care, compassion, and stillness to update the need to fix others as a survival strategy for creating safety. The Fixer often feels the need to solve problems for others to earn love and acceptance but also to create safety and protect the part that feels that stillness is not safe. Being present without fixing can feel uncomfortable. The subconscious programs of the fixer are rooted in survival. The fixer often equates their value with their usefulness. Helplessness is perceived by the fixer as a threat. The origins of the Fixer often stem from childhood experiences. Self-energy is crucial for the Fixer to feel safe and supported. Updating subconscious beliefs can change the urgency to fix. Practicing presence can deepen relationships and increase connection. Presence is more available when we are not trying to fix. Building Unshakable Confidence with Morgan Barkus

In this episode of Stories From The Lost & Found, I sit down with Morgan Barkus, confidence coach for women, author, speaker and exotic dance instructor with a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy. Morgan helps women stop people pleasing, stop settling and start showing up unapologetically confident in their bodies, relationships and lives. We talk about her unconventional path from stripping and graduate school to the corporate world and coaching, why confidence isn’t something you’re born with but a skill you build, and the powerful journey of learning to trust yourself enough to create a life and love that actually feels like yours. In this episode, we explore: Why confidence is a skill you build, not something you’re born with. How to rewrite old stories, self-criticism and limiting beliefs. Why knowing what you want helps you set boundaries and stop settling. How Morgan shifted from people pleasing to choosing herself in relationships. How getting clear on the love she wanted led to an unexpected meeting in Paris. Why self-trust matters more than following someone else’s rules for your life.Morgan’s story is such a powerful reminder that confidence isn’t about never feeling insecure, anxious or afraid. It’s about developing enough trust in yourself to meet those moments, support yourself through them and keep choosing what you truly want. Whether it’s your body, your career, your relationships or the way you show up in the world, you don’t have to keep living by an old script,  you get to decide what comes next. Tune in for an uplifting and empowering conversation about confidence, self-trust, relationships, manifestation, limiting beliefs and what becomes possible when you stop looking outside yourself for the rules and start trusting yourself enough to create a life that feels deeply, unapologetically yours. The Part of You That Feels Alone

Each solo episode explores a pattern that many of us carry, as both a subconscious program installed early in life and a protective part through the lens of Internal Family Systems (IFS). Because these patterns live beneath conscious awareness, understanding them intellectually is never quite enough. That's why every episode ends with an integration practice, a gentle, guided experience designed to give your nervous system something new to work with. Not more information to carry, but an actual felt sense to shift the pattern. This is how neuroplasticity works, the brain's ability to form new neural pathways, not through insight alone, but through new experience, repeated over time. In this episode, I explore the part of you that feels fundamentally alone, even when you are surrounded by people, love and connection. I share how this deep subconscious wound can develop early in life, how our protector parts work tirelessly to keep us from feeling it, and how Internal Family Systems (IFS) and subconscious work can help us meet these parts with compassion, safety and self-energy. In this episode, we explore: How “I am alone” can show up as hyper-independence and difficulty receiving support. Why anger, anxiety, overworking and numbing can be protective strategies. How early experiences can create a lasting wound of aloneness. How IFS helps us understand our protectors, exiles and self-energy.How subconscious work can create more safety, connection and self-trust.A guided practice to connect compassionately with the parts that need you.The part of you that feels alone does not need to be pushed away, fixed or forced to change. When we approach our parts with curiosity, compassion and presence, we can begin to show them that they no longer have to carry everything by themselves. As our protectors learn to trust us, there can be more space for connection, self-trust and a new experience of being held from within. Tune in to this episode for an empowering exploration of loneliness, subconscious beliefs, IFS, protector parts and learning to meet the parts of yourself that have been waiting to know they are no longer alone. In this episode of Stories From The Lost & Found, I sit down with Sabrina Magnan, food relationship coach and host of Live Unrestricted, a podcast dedicated to helping women break free from food obsession and reclaim their lives. After years of disordered eating, restriction, over-exercising and trying to control her body, Sabrina reached a point where she realized just how much of her life she was losing to food and body obsession. We talk about her journey from counting calories at her sister’s baby shower to discovering a completely different relationship with food in Italy, and how healing at the level of the nervous system, subconscious mind and identity helped her rebuild trust with herself. In this episode, we explore: How perfectionism and body pressure shaped Sabrina’s relationship with food. The moment she realized food obsession was taking her away from her life. How Italy helped her see food through the lens of pleasure, connection and nourishment. Why bingeing, restricting and overworking can be protective nervous system patterns. How subconscious and IFS work can help create safety around change. Why healing begins with slowing down, listening inward and rebuilding self-trust.Sabrina’s story is a powerful reminder that the behaviours we desperately want to change are often doing something deeper for us. When we stop fighting ourselves and become curious about what our patterns are protecting us from, we can begin creating change from a place of compassion, safety and self-trust. Imposter Syndrome

In this episode, I explore what is really underneath imposter syndrome and why success does not always make it disappear. I share how subconscious beliefs like “I’m not enough,” “I don’t belong here” and “I don’t deserve this” can shape our experience, and how Internal Family Systems (IFS) helps us understand imposter syndrome as a protective part rather than something we need to fight. In this episode, we explore: Why imposter syndrome can persist even when you are successful. How subconscious beliefs can shape confidence, belonging and self-worth.Why perfectionism and overpreparing can be protective strategies. How IFS helps us understand and support our protector parts. How subconscious work can help create deeper safety and self-trust.A guided practice to connect with the part of you that still feels the need to prove itself.Imposter syndrome does not mean you do not belong. When we understand what this pattern is protecting, we can begin to soften the pressure, trust ourselves more deeply and create space for confidence, ease and self-worth. We talk about water as life force, the connection between hydration and our bioelectric health, her journey from feeling lost and disconnected to finding purpose, and what can happen when we become willing to listen to our bodies, trust what resonates and follow where we feel called. In this episode, we explore: Why drinking more water may not be the same as becoming truly hydrated. How Elizabeth’s own health struggles led her to question what she had been taught about water. The connection between hydration, energy, bioelectric health and how we feel in our bodies. How feeling lost, leaving the military and navigating a spiritual awakening helped Elizabeth reconnect with God and her purpose. Why our past experiences, interests and even our hardest seasons can become part of the work we are here to do.What it looks like to stop searching outside ourselves for wholeness and begin listening to what our bodies already know.Elizabeth’s story is a reminder that the path back to ourselves can begin in unexpected places, and that staying curious can lead us toward greater health, clarity and purpose. The People Pleaser

In this episode of Stories From The Lost & Found, I explore what is really underneath people pleasing and why it is more than simply being kind or accommodating. I share how this pattern can become a protective strategy rooted in our nervous system, childhood experiences and subconscious beliefs about love, safety and belonging. Using Internal Family Systems (IFS) and subconscious work, I explain how we can begin to understand the part of us that says yes when we really mean no, and start creating healthier boundaries without guilt. In this episode, we explore: Why people pleasing is a protective strategy, not a personality trait. How fear of disapproval can make saying no feel unsafe. Why boundaries alone do not always change the deeper pattern. How IFS helps us understand and support our protective parts. How subconscious beliefs can keep us stuck in overgiving.A guided practice to connect with your people-pleasing part.People pleasing can look like kindness on the outside while creating resentment, exhaustion and disconnection on the inside. When we understand what this pattern is protecting, we can begin to create safety within ourselves, honour our needs and show up more fully in our relationships. In this episode of Stories From The Lost & Found, I sit down with Rachel Hinnen, an entrepreneur, acupuncturist and sex worker who has spent 12 years stripping while building an innovative premium beef business. Rachel shares how these seemingly separate worlds are connected through embodiment, agency, business and a deep respect for individuality. We talk about transforming retired dairy cows through regenerative farming, entering a male-populated industry as a first-generation farmer and the unexpected lessons the sex industry taught her about self-worth, boundaries, mentorship and human connection. In this episode, we explore: Why we do not have to fit into one identity. How Chinese medicine shapes Rachel’s approach to farming.Challenging tradition in a male-populated industry. What stripping taught Rachel about self-worth and business.Reclaiming agency through embodiment and sisterhood.Finding connection beyond labels and stigma.Rachel’s story is a powerful reminder that the path back to ourselves does not have to look conventional, linear or easily understood by other people. The Inner Critic

In this episode of Stories From The Lost & Found, I explore where the inner critic comes from, why it can feel so convincing and how we can begin working with it through Internal Family Systems, subconscious healing and compassionate self-awareness. In this episode, we explore: Why the inner critic is often a protective part rather than a personal flaw. How early experiences can shape subconscious beliefs such as “I’m not enough” or “I have to be perfect.”Why fighting, silencing or arguing with the inner critic can make it louder. How Internal Family Systems helps protective parts feel seen, understood and safe enough to soften. The role of neuroplasticity and subconscious work in creating new beliefs and patterns.A simple grounding practice to reconnect with your body, cultivate curiosity and ask yourself, “What do I need right now?”Your inner critic is not trying to destroy you. It is often an exhausted part of you that learned to protect deeper wounds in the only way it knew how. When we meet that part with presence instead of resistance, we create space for greater trust, compassion and lasting change.
