11 | Published Your Authority Book—Now What? 3 Launch Strategies Every First-Time Christian Author Should Know

Friend, You finally finished your manuscript. You published the book. And then you look at it and think… “Okay… now what?” How do you actually launch your book? How do you get it into the hands of the right people? And how do you make your book support the bigger work you’re building as a Christian coach? In this episode of Publish Your Authority, we’re talking about what happens after you publish. Because your book isn't supposed to sit quietly on Amazon while you wait for people to discover it. Your book can become an authority asset—a bridge between your message and the people who need what you know. I’m breaking down three launch strategies: The Free Launch Strategy — especially worth considering if you're a first-time author without a huge audience and your bigger goal is authority, reach, credibility, or connecting with potential coaching clients. The $0.99 Launch Strategy — a possible fit when you already have an established audience, authority, or following and want to focus more heavily on the paid market. The Traditional Launch Strategy — a more resource-intensive approach involving publicity, media, speaking, events, and other promotional efforts. But the real question isn't: “Which launch strategy is the most impressive?” It's: “Which launch strategy fits where I am right now and what I want this book to accomplish?” You'll also discover a simple 5-part authority book launch framework: Know the purpose of your book. Know who you want to reach. Build a small launch team. Create a focused launch window. Connect the book to your bigger work. And we'll talk about something many first-time authors can easily get distracted by: the bestseller badge. A bestseller ranking can be exciting, but it shouldn't become the foundation of your launch. Your goal is to get your message into the hands of the people you're called to serve. Your Action Step Before the next episode, answer these three questions: Why did I write this book? Who needs this book the most? What do I want to happen after they read it? Your answers can help you determine how you should launch. And if you've been listening from Episode 1, we've been building this journey step by step: Clarity → Writing → Publishing → Launching Next episode, we're bringing it all together. Listen to Episode 12 If you've been thinking: “Robin, I know I want to become a published author. But I don't want to do this alone—and I don't want another complicated program that overwhelms me.” Come back for Episode 12. We're wrapping up the journey, and I'll share an opportunity for a small group of 6 Christian coaches who want to turn their message into a published authority book. Your message deserves to become a book. And your book deserves to reach the right people.   Do you know you have a God-given message inside you, but have no idea where to start with your book? Are you waiting for more clarity, more confidence, or more time before becoming an author? Welcome to Publish Your Authority! 10 | Self-Publishing or Traditional Publishing? 4 Questions Christian Coaches Must Ask Before Publishing Their Manuscript

Congratulations! You’ve finally written—or you’re almost finished writing—your manuscript. And then you start hearing all the questions… “Should I self-publish?” “Should I try traditional publishing?” “Do I need an agent?” “What if I choose the wrong path?” Coach, If you’re already juggling coaching clients, work, family, and everything else on your plate, the last thing you need is another decision that leaves you more confused. So before you publish your manuscript, let’s slow down and ask a better question: Which publishing path actually fits you, your book, and the purpose behind it? In this episode, we’re looking at 4 questions every Christian coach should ask before choosing between self-publishing and traditional publishing: 1. How much control do you want? Think about your message, timeline, creative decisions, and how involved you want to be in the publishing process. 2. How much time do you realistically have? Not the time you wish you had—but the time you actually have between coaching, work, family, and everyday responsibilities. 3. What level of responsibility are you willing to take on? Every publishing path comes with responsibilities. The question is: which responsibilities make sense for you? 4. Why are you publishing this book in the first place? Your purpose matters. Are you building authority? Serving your audience? Creating a resource for your clients? Leaving a legacy? Something else? And there’s one more important reminder: Self-publishing does not have to mean self-doing. You don't have to make your publishing decision based on what another author did. You need to understand your options, ask the right questions, and make a decision that fits your own situation. As James 1:5 reminds us, if we need wisdom, we can ask God for it. So grab your notebook, friend, and let’s work through these four questions together. By the end of this episode, you won’t be choosing a publishing path simply because someone told you it was the “right” way. You’ll have a clearer way to think about your decision.   Do you know you have a God-given message inside you, but have no idea where to start with your book? Are you waiting for more clarity, more confidence, or more time before becoming an author? Welcome to the Publish Your Authority! 09 | Want to Use AI for Your Manuscript? 3 Things Christian Coaches Must Know First

Friend, You have a coaching framework. You have years of experience. You have a message you know can help people. And now AI is everywhere, telling you it can help you write your book. But maybe you're wondering… “Should I use AI for my manuscript?” Or even: “If AI helps me write my book, is it still really My book?” Friend, that's exactly what we're talking about in this episode. AI can absolutely make parts of the book-writing process easier. But there is something AI should never take from you: Your Message. In this episode, I'll walk you through 3 things every Christian author needs to understand before allowing AI into her manuscript—so you can use the technology without losing your voice, your experience, or the message God has entrusted to you. In this episode, you'll discover: Why your message—not AI—is the foundation of your authority book The difference between using AI as a workload tool and allowing it to become the author What parts of the writing process AI can help you with Why your coaching experience and personal stories cannot simply be outsourced How to protect your voice and make sure your manuscript still sounds like YOU A biblical perspective on stewarding the work God has placed in your hands Why you don't need to choose between writing everything manually and letting AI write everything for you We'll also look at a simple mindset shift that can change the way you approach AI: AI doesn't have my message. I have the message. And that's important because your authority book isn't valuable simply because it's well-written. It's valuable because you have something worth saying. “Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” — Proverbs 16:3 So if you're a busy Christian coach who has been thinking, “I don't have enough time to write a book,” this episode will help you see how AI can support the process without taking over the part that only you can do. Don't give AI your authorship. Give AI the workload. This episode is for you if… You're a busy Christian coach with too many ideas, limited time, and a book you've been saying you'll write someday. Especially if you've been wondering whether AI can help you finally get that manuscript finished—without turning your book into something that doesn't sound like you. Your message is yours. Let's learn how to use the tools without giving away the message.   Do you know you have a God-given message inside you, but have no idea where to start with your book? Are you waiting for more clarity, more confidence, or more time before becoming an author? Welcome to Publish Your Authority! I'm Robin—a dad, husband, and Jesus follower—and I'm on a mission to help Christian coaches turn their message into an authority book that builds credibility, attracts clients, and creates lasting impact. 08 | Before You Self-Publish Your Manuscript, Fix These 3 Things First, Christian Coach!

Friend, You’ve finished your manuscript. You’ve written the chapters. You’ve edited the words. You’ve probably read those pages more times than you can count. And now you’re thinking: “I’m done. I can finally publish my book.” But before you click Publish, there are three things you need to look at. Because finishing your manuscript doesn't mean your book is finished. In this episode of Publish Your Authority, we’re talking about the final pieces that can help your authority book look, read, and feel like the professional book your message deserves. In this episode, you’ll discover: 1. Why your book cover matters more than you think Your cover is your reader’s first introduction to your authority. Learn why a professional book-cover designer can help communicate your message without taking away your vision. 2. Why you shouldn’t let your own eyes be the final editor You know what you meant to say—but your reader only knows what you actually said. We’ll talk about why a qualified human editor can help you identify repetition, confusing sections, weak transitions, inconsistencies, and places where your reader may lose momentum. 3. Why your manuscript still isn’t a book until it’s professionally formatted Your Word document may look great on your computer, but a professionally prepared book requires attention to layout, margins, trim size, chapter openings, page numbers, and publishing requirements. And you don’t need to become a KDP formatting expert to publish your book. The bigger lesson Self-publishing doesn't mean doing everything yourself. It means taking ownership of getting your book into the world. Sometimes stewardship means knowing what you can do yourself—and knowing when it’s wise to bring in someone with the right expertise. As 1 Corinthians 14:40 reminds us: “But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way.” This isn't about perfection. Excellence isn't perfection. Excellence is stewardship. Your Episode 08 checklist Before you publish, ask yourself: ☐ Does my cover look like an authority book? ☐ Has an experienced human editor reviewed my manuscript? ☐ Has someone who understands KDP professionally formatted my book? If one answer is no, don't panic. Just don't publish yet. Your book deserves the finishing attention it needs.   Do you know you have a God-given message inside you, but have no idea where to start with your book? Are you waiting for more clarity, more confidence, or more time before becoming an author? Welcome to Publish Your Authority! 07 | Think Self-Publishing Is Hard? What Nobody Tells Christian Coaches About Publishing Their Authority

Coach, You finally finished your manuscript. You wrote between coaching calls, squeezed in a few minutes before the kids woke up, or stayed up late after everyone went to bed. And now that your book is finally written, you’re facing a whole new question: “How do I actually publish this book?” Suddenly, you’re trying to understand ISBNs, book formats, publishing platforms, distribution, formatting, covers, and marketing. And if you’re a busy Christian coach and working mom, you may be wondering: “Do I really have to figure all of this out myself?” No—you don’t. In this episode of Publish Your Authority, we’re taking the mystery out of self-publishing and looking at what Christian authors often don’t realize about bringing an authority book to life. You’ll discover why publishing is a process—not a mystery, why you don’t need every publishing option available, and why self-publishing does not mean doing everything yourself. More importantly, we’ll step back from the technical details and ask the question that should guide your publishing decisions: “What is my book supposed to do?” Because your authority book isn’t simply another product to put on Amazon. It can become a vehicle for your message, a way to demonstrate your expertise, and a doorway for the people you’re called to serve. And if you’ve been thinking, “I’m already managing clients, family, work, and everything else. How am I supposed to publish a book too?”—this conversation is for you. You’ll leave this episode with a much clearer picture of the publishing process, permission to get help where you need it, and one simple question to answer before you worry about all the technical details. Your book doesn’t have to be created all at once. It just needs to keep moving forward. In this episode, you’ll learn: Why self-publishing can feel much harder than it actually is The difference between writing, publishing, and marketing your book Why you don’t need to become an expert in every part of publishing How to think about ISBNs, formats, and publishing options without getting overwhelmed Why self-published doesn’t have to mean self-done How to decide what your authority book is actually supposed to accomplish Why your book can be more than a book—it can serve the message and people God has called you to reach The one simple action step that can help you make your next publishing decision with clarity And before you leave, you’ll be invited to finish this sentence: “My authority book is designed to help ______ achieve ______.” If you’ve been putting off publishing because the process feels too complicated, press play. You don’t have to know everything. You don’t have to do everything. And you don’t have to wait until life gets less busy. You can publish your authority book—one step at a time. Do you know you have a God-given message inside you, but have no idea where to start with your book? Are you waiting for more clarity, more confidence, or more time before becoming an author? 06 | Why Most Christian Coaches Never Finish Their Manuscript (And How You Can)

Coach, You know you’re supposed to write your book. You’ve had the idea for months—or maybe even years. You have stories. Coaching experiences. Notes everywhere. Ideas in your phone. Maybe even a partially written manuscript. But somehow… you still haven’t finished. And if you’re a busy Christian coach trying to balance your clients, business, family, faith, and everything else on your plate, you may be wondering: “When am I ever going to have the time to actually finish this book?” Here’s what I want you to hear in this episode: You probably don’t have an idea problem. You have a process problem. In this Episode, I’m breaking down why so many Christian coaches get stuck before their manuscript is finished—and what you can do differently. You’ll discover how to: Stop trying to put everything you know into one book Identify the one transformation your book should create for your reader Turn the message you already teach into a clear writing path Stop overthinking every chapter and wondering if your book is “good enough” Create a simpler approach to finally moving your manuscript forward Write with greater clarity—even when you don't have hours of uninterrupted time And most importantly, you’ll see why finishing your authority book isn’t about finding more time to write. It’s about knowing what actually needs to be written—and what doesn’t. So if you’ve been carrying a book inside you but keep telling yourself… “I’ll finish it when things slow down.” This episode is for you. Because your message doesn’t need to stay trapped in your coaching sessions, your notes, or your head.
