Talking to the Dead: When Grief Crosses a Spiritual Line

Missing someone you love can make you wish you could hear their voice one more time. But where is the line between honoring their memory and seeking spiritual guidance from them? In this episode of Spiritual Discernment, Bishop Demetrius Sinegal addresses a deeply personal question: What happens when grief leads us to seek answers from deceased loved ones? Teaching from a Christian biblical framework, he examines communicating with the dead, consulting mediums, and believing that deceased relatives become guardian angels. He also makes an important distinction: remembering someone, telling their story, and visiting their grave are not the same as deliberately asking them for supernatural guidance. The conversation explores: • What necromancy means and how it differs from remembrance • Why he challenges the belief that loved ones become guardian angels • How he applies Deuteronomy 18 to mediums, psychics, and divination • Why he argues that an experience feeling real or accurate does not make it spiritually authorized His central challenge goes beyond whether an experience brings comfort: Who are you trusting to guide you, and what shapes that decision? Stop Praying Random Prayers: 8 Ways to Fight Spiritual Warfare

What if your prayers are sincere, but they are aimed at the wrong target? Sometimes the battle is not only against a person. In this episode of Spiritual Discernment, Bishop Demetrius Sinegal explains why effective spiritual warfare requires more than repeating the same request. He reveals eight strategic angles you should examine when building a prayer target and teaches you how to create a written prayer map supported by Scripture, research, discernment, and responsible action. You will learn: • Why research and revelation should work together • How to determine whether resistance is spiritual, emotional, physical, or systemic • Why prayer should begin with God instead of the problem • How to pray specifically for people, policies, environments, and decision-makers • Why prayer cannot become a substitute for personal responsibility • How to continue praying when breakthrough does not happen immediately Where have you been praying without first identifying the real target? When Everything Hits at Once: Recognizing Spiritual Warfare

First, a trusted relationship begins to shift. Then your spiritual senses feel dull. Accusation starts rewriting how you see yourself. Before long, pressure is coming from every direction—your family, finances, health, purpose, and faith. Is it all a coincidence, or is something deeper happening? In this episode of Spiritual Discernment, Bishop Sinegal reveals four often-missed signs that you may be experiencing spiritual warfare. You’ll discover how offense can disrupt God-ordained relationships, why people who genuinely love you can still pull you away from your assignment, and how coordinated pressure attempts to change your agreement with God. Because the pressure itself may not be the real objective. This teaching will help you: • Recognize relational warfare before offense takes root• Understand why your spiritual faculties may feel depleted• Confront accusations attacking your identity• Discern when multiple pressures may signal a coordinated attack• Distinguish genuine spiritual warfare from the consequences of your own decisions• Stand firm using the whole armor of God If you were no threat, you would be no target. Watch until the end, then share this message with someone who has been facing pressure from every direction. 3 Signs You May Be Under Spiritual Attack: The Battle for Your Mind, Appetites & Obedience

One unanswered text. One old temptation. One step of obedience that suddenly feels almost impossible. What if the pattern isn’t random? In this episode of Spiritual Discernment, Bishop Sinegal reveals how spiritual warfare can begin long before the attack becomes obvious. The enemy does not always start with chaos or aggression. You’ll discover three signs that you may be under spiritual attack: • Your interpretation of reality is being corrupted• Old appetites are attempting to reclaim access• Resistance is gathering around your obedience You’ll also learn why not every troubling thought or obstacle is spiritual warfare, how to recognize an intelligent pattern of opposition, and how renewing your mind can prevent a moment of deception from becoming a stronghold. The Law of Agreement: Why a Curse Can't Land Without Your Permission

A king named Balak had a problem. There was a nation moving through his territory that was growing too strong, too fast, and he knew he couldn't beat them in a fair fight. So he did what powerful men do when they run out of natural options — he went looking for supernatural ones. He hired a prophet. Not a fake one. A real one, with real authority, named Balaam. The assignment was simple: curse them. Balaam took the money. He went up on the mountain. He looked into the realm of the spirit to find the place where the curse could land. And he came back and said: I can't. Not "I won't." I can't. There's no ground here. There's nothing in them that agrees with what you're paying me to send. They're covered. So Balak tried again from a different mountain. Different altar. Different angle. Same answer. And here's where the story turns — because Balaam didn't quit. He just changed strategy. If he couldn't send the curse in, he'd get the people to open the door themselves. He taught the king how to place a stumbling block. And it worked. In this first episode of Spiritual Discernment, Bishop Senegal opens up the law that story is built on: a curse without agreement has nowhere to land. Proverbs 26:2. Your enemy doesn't have unlimited access to your life. He has legalaccess — and the paperwork is signed by you. He breaks down: The difference between agreement (an invitation) and encroachment (an invasion) — and why fighting the wrong one keeps you losingWhy fear is a form of faith, and how it becomes the landing pad for things you never spoke out loudThe anatomy of agreement from James 1 — desire, enticement, conception, consequence — and why you don't see the fruit until long after the seed went inWhat a stronghold actually is (it's not a demon floating around your house)Why repentance is not an apology — and what practical severance requires you to actually delete, throw away, or walk away fromWhy your greatest place of warfare is not your money, your marriage, or your body — it's your mind and your heartIf you've been in extended warfare, doing everything you know to do, and still can't find the breakthrough — this episode is going to tell you where to look.
