    Welcome to our MONTH! OF ! CRIME ! In our first themed month of our lives (!!!) we’re gonna go on a journey to meet some lady criminals. This week’s theme? Con Artists. We explore some women, myths, and legends in the conning field.  Emma goes first this week and we meet the mythical Barbara Erni, The Goden Boos. What does Boos mean? We don’t know. We talk big trunks, bigger chests, and how someone can become super prolific in their death. Anusha goes next, and we meet confidence queen, Bertha Heyman, or as she was known, Big Bertha. Pretending to be an heiress is something we all do from time to time, I mean we all live in LA, don’t we? Also, is it really a con if someone decides to just give you $1000?     GO BE A WITCH OR SOMETHING

    Anusha and Emma are back, and this week we’re talking about LAW. And women in law. And laws that have done things to women (and people). Dun dun (Law and Order SVU Sound effect) Emma goes first this week, and reintroduces us to American lawyer, jurist, and associate justice of the Supreme Court: the Notorious RBG. Ruth Bader Ginsburg. We talk the constitution, the 14th amendment, and Suits. Anusha then takes us waaaay out left, and we talk about the Salem Witch Trials. Specifically about Tituba, Sarah Good, and Sarah Osborne, and the effects of one of the biggest cases of mass hysteria in the USA. We find out that due process is a beautiful thing, that we are not going to fact check anything about physics, and see that it’s insane that neither of us talked about Elle Woods.     WHO IS LUKE???

    Today, we are ALL women in STEM. Anusha and Emma explain complicated physics and chemistry, which is great, since neither of them has been in a science class since high school. Unless you count the one unit on plate tectonics Anusha did in college that one time.  It’s Anusha’s turn to go first this week, and we meet Chien-Shiung Wu, the First Lady of Physics. Anusha uses her extensive theatre background to explain parity, quantum entanglement, superposition, and a whole load of other very simple theoretical physics (suuuure).
