Abdallah Azab

The late Sheikh Dr. Abdallah Muhammad Al-Sayed Azab was born on December 7, 1985 in the village of Damlu in the city of Banha, Qalyubia Governorate, Egypt. His father died when he was fourteen years old, leaving behind three sons and two daughters. Despite this early loss, Sheikh Abdallah’s upbringing was shaped by the love and wisdom of his mother, who played a pivotal role in his education. She instilled in him a deep connection to the Quran, and he memorized it under her guidance at a young age. As years went on, Sheikh Abdallah’s commitment to Islam and his reverence for the Quran led him to a respected career as an Imam. He served at various mosques throughout his life, starting at Amr Ibn Al-Aas Mosque, one of Cairo’s most known mosques, before moving on to the Sayyida Zeinab Mosque. His final position was at Al-Fattah Al-Aleem Mosque in the Administrative Capital. He had also led Ramadan prayers in Banha’s Masjid At-Tabi’in. Besides his service as an Imam, Sheikh Abdallah was also a prominent media presence. He participated in the program “Perhaps They Will Understand,” alongside Sheikh Khaled Al-Jundi, which aired on the “DMC” channel. This program focused on discussing Quranic verses and Islamic teachings in a way that was accessible and meaningful to a broad audience, further solidifying his role as a leading voice in Islamic discourse. Sadly, Sheikh Abdallah passed away at the age of 35 in a car accident on June 6 2021. He left behind two young children, Rahma, who was just 5 years old, and Ahmed, who was 7. ---------- Support Quran Central and earn ongoing reward.
