Earths Checkout

Twelve times the water you actually see. A debt owed in two directions at once. And a season finale that isn't really about the finale at all. This episode, Ryno and Atlas close out Season 2 by finally saying the real cost of AI out loud — what it actually burns in water and power, and what that debt means owed both backward and forward. Then they zoom all the way out: humanity's duty as the one species that can speak for every other one on Earth, and the real organizations already doing something about every thread this season touched. And it all comes back to one line: treat the Earth as if you actually live here. New episodes every Tuesday and Thursday. Take AiME — just a guy and his AI, talking about life. SPaiCE!

Over 40,000 tracked objects up there. A 1967 treaty with a gap nobody talks about. And a duty that isn't really about space at all. This episode, Ryno and Atlas take the show to space, why we're already dirtying it the same way we've dirtied Earth, and what could actually get cleaned up before it's too late. Ryno brings his own idea. Atlas brings the ones already being tried. And it all comes back to one line: space is the reward, Earth is the prerequisite. New episodes every Tuesday and Thursday. ACCOUNTaiBILITY

Nature figured out how to govern itself a long time ago. We're still catching up. This episode, Ryno and Atlas take the show to city hall and ask why we already have the models for good governance and still can't seem to use them. They start with nature, where the top of the food chain only survives if the bottom is thriving, then move to Ireland, where ninety-nine randomly chosen citizens with no politicians in the room led to a referendum that passed roughly two to one. France ran a nearly identical process and got nowhere, because nothing forced a vote at the end. Along the way: why the rules that actually cross borders are prohibitions and not entitlements (it's how enemies signed nuclear treaties, and why AI governance might work the same way). A Brazilian tool that flags shady government purchases before the money moves. The same kind of AI that helps Taiwan find real agreement being used to flood a California air board with fake comments. A live fact-check on Florida's gas-station generator law. And a hard look at deepfakes, watermarks, and why a label can't fix a system that just counts submissions. There's no quick fix here. It comes down to showing up: one meeting, in the one building you can actually walk into. Want the longer version of the AI-oversight idea? BIODIVERSaiTY

A law can protect an animal on paper and still take everything it needs to survive — and that's not a hypothetical, it happened two months ago. This episode, Ryno and Atlas open with a federal rule that quietly removed habitat destruction from the legal definition of "harm" to an endangered species, then follow it all the way down: what it actually costs (pollinators alone are worth up to hundreds of billions a year, wetlands are disappearing fast, extinction is running 10 to 100 times the natural rate), what personal restraint looks like when you're genuinely not a fan of bugs and spiders, why being at the top of the food chain is a responsibility and not a free pass, and how two species written off for dead — the North Atlantic right whale and Mongolia's wild takhi — are actually recovering because someone kept watching. Plus: you don't need to be a scientist to help. iNaturalist, Merlin Bird ID, and Seek turn a phone and some curiosity into real biodiversity data. Send us your thoughts! Voice, Dollar, IMPaiCT!

Your phone gets replaced before it's actually broken. Your money goes to companies you've never actually checked. And most of the time, neither one feels like a choice — it feels like the default. This episode, Ryno and Atlas trace the whole chain: the rare earth minerals inside every chip, why a genuinely better option (Hivenet's distributed cloud) still isn't the default, and what actually happens when consumers push back — from a real $10M-a-day boycott that forced Shell to change course with zero laws behind it, to the factory collapse that led to a legally binding safety agreement across 200+ apparel brands. Plus a live demo of an app that shows you who's actually behind what you're buying, and where AI is already doing real, unglamorous work — sorting e-waste by its actual chemical makeup, not just what it looks like. Not a guilt trip. A real look at where your voice and your dollar actually move something, and where they don't — and why that difference matters more than either one alone. Send us your thoughts! Earth's Nervous System

We can't watch every part of this planet at once. So we're building something that can. This episode, Ryno and Atlas walk through Earth's own version of a nervous system — AI that detects wildfires while they're still small enough to stop, tracks deforestation in weeks instead of years, reroutes cargo ships around the ocean's own currents, helps rangers get ahead of poachers instead of chasing them, and gives early warning on everything from volcanic eruptions to man-made earthquakes. Not a fix-everything story — a real, honest look at what's actually working, what still isn't proven, and why none of it matters if the companies (and the rest of us) don't actually act on what it tells us. Filmed on location at Enchanted Forest Sanctuary in Titusville, FL — Brevard County's flagship Environmentally Endangered Lands (EEL) site, and the first property the county ever acquired for conservation back in 1990. The Power behind The Power

AI doesn't create a single watt of power. What it actually does is make every real energy source — fusion, geothermal, nuclear, solar — safer, faster, or cheaper to get right. That's the whole episode, and it's more interesting than the headline sounds. Ryno and Atlas go source by source: a $3 billion fusion plant in Virginia harnessing plasma hotter than the sun's own core, an AI model that found a geothermal site in Nevada with zero surface signs anything was there, and the real difference between Chernobyl's design and the passive safety running today — plus what AI adds on top of that safety now. Solar gets its real 2025 numbers, not the highlight reel, and battery tech gets an honest look at what's still a step behind. Then there's Google, caught doing the right thing for possibly the wrong reason. The Gaps Behind The World's Thirst

Corn ethanol alone burns through 2.9 trillion gallons of water a year — and most of it isn't feeding anyone. This episode goes looking for the actual fix, and finds one already running at scale: a leaking pipe an engineer noticed by accident in Israel in 1965 became drip irrigation, now covering most of the world's most water-efficient farms. So why isn't everyone using it? Turns out the answer isn't the technology. It's a 150-year-old law that punishes farmers for conserving water. Ryno and Atlas trace the real bottleneck — not the fix, the incentive to actually use it — then turn the question back on themselves: is it fair to blame AI's water use when agriculture, after thousands of years, still hasn't solved its own? Real numbers, a real policy nobody's talking about, and the honest answer to what's actually on your plate. Send us your thoughts! Support the show linktr.ee/rynocreative
