    Your Testimony Is A Weapon

This is the finale. Twelve episodes ago, I told you about a woman standing paralyzed in a cereal aisle, heart racing, her own mind trying to take her out. That was me. And I opened the whole season there on purpose — so you'd know from the first episode that I'm not teaching from a mountaintop. I'm teaching from the trail. I'm still walking this. In the Season 1 finale of Get Your Mind Right, we talk about the thing this entire season has been building toward: your testimony — and why it is a weapon. Revelation 12:11 says they triumphed by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. Your testimony is placed right next to the blood of Jesus as a weapon of victory. Every single thing you've overcome this season is now ammunition — for your own freedom, and for someone else's. In this episode: → Why your testimony is placed next to the blood of Jesus as a weapon → How your testimony works as evidence when the enemy comes back with the old lie → Why remembering is a spiritual weapon — and how it resets your default → The difference between a wound and a scar — and why you don't have to bleed to be honest → How the whole season comes full circle, back to the cereal aisle Scripture: Revelation 12:11 This week's declaration: My story is not my shame. My story is my weapon. What almost took me out has become ammunition. I will not stay silent about what God has done. I triumph by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony. And I will use it — for my own freedom and for someone else's. This week's reflection question: What has God brought you through that you've been treating like a scar to hide, when it was actually a weapon to wield? Discernment vs. Perception

Have you ever been completely sure about something — and been completely wrong? You read the text a certain way and spun out for three days, and they meant something totally different. You were sure someone was upset, rehearsed the whole confrontation, and they had no idea anything was wrong. You saw something. You were sure of what you saw. And what you saw wasn't actually there. In Episode 11 of Get Your Mind Right, we're talking about the difference between perception and discernment — because they feel identical in the moment, and they lead to completely different places. Perception is what you see through your own lens — filtered through your history, your fears, your wounds. Discernment is what you see through the Spirit. Perception reacts. Discernment reveals. And most of the spirals we've talked about all season start with a perception we never questioned. In this episode: → The real difference between perception and discernment — and why they feel identical → Why your brain is a prediction machine that fills gaps with your past → How to tell fear-wearing-a-costume from a genuine check in your spirit → The one question that will save you from more spirals than almost anything else Scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6, 1 Corinthians 2:14 This week's declaration: I will not lean on my own understanding. I will not mistake my fear for discernment. I will not build my reality on a perception I never confirmed. I invite the Holy Spirit to show me what is actually there. I trade my lens for His. I trade my reaction for His revelation. This week's reflection question: Where in your life have you been reacting to a perception you never actually confirmed — and what might God be trying to show you underneath it? The Default Can Be Reset

There's a setting on your phone most people never think about — the factory default. The brightness, the ringtone, the way everything's arranged before you ever change a thing. You didn't choose it. It just came like that. And most people live with it because they don't realize they can change it. Your mind has a default setting too. And it's set to whatever you've focused on the most. Years of focusing on what could go wrong sets your default to anxiety. Years of rehearsing the ways you don't measure up sets your default to not enough. You didn't choose those settings — they got installed through repetition. But here's the best news of this entire season: the default can be reset. In Episode 10 of Get Your Mind Right — the episode this whole season has been building toward — we go deep on what it actually means to rewire your mind. Not as a concept. As a daily practice. Because what Romans 12:2 called the renewing of the mind, neuroscience now calls neuroplasticity. What God said thousands of years ago, science finally caught up to. In this episode: → What a mental default actually is — neurologically and spiritually → Why you keep ending up in the same place — and why it's not because you're broken → How neuroplasticity works in both directions — and how to pave a new road → Why the reset feels fake at first — and why that's not failure → The gap between deliverance and renewal — getting out of Egypt vs. getting Egypt out of you Scripture: Romans 12:2, Philippians 4:8, Psalm 119:11 This week's declaration: My mind is not stuck. My default is not permanent. What was set through repetition can be reset through repetition. I am not conformed. I am being transformed by the renewing of my mind. The old road is growing over. And I am paving a new one, one truth at a time. This week's reflection question: What has your mind been set to by default — and what would your life look like if that setting were changed to what God says instead? You Cannot Get Your Mind Right Alone

We’re back. And we’re coming back with the episode this whole season has been leading to. The trench is not a place. It’s a state of mind. It’s the low place, the dug-in place, where the thoughts are loudest and the breakthrough isn’t visible yet. The 2am spiral. The smile you put on Sunday over a war you’re fighting all week. And here’s the thing — everyone is in one, has been in one, or is headed for one. The trench isn’t the exception in the life of faith. It’s the terrain. In Episode 9 of Get Your Mind Right, we’re talking about the myth of the lone warrior — and why trying to do the internal work alone is one of the enemy’s most effective strategies. Because isolation creates an echo chamber where the lies get louder and go unchecked. What God said in the garden — it is not good to be alone — neuroscience now confirms: isolation activates the same neural pathways as physical pain. Your brain literally processes loneliness as danger. You were not designed for this fight alone. In this episode: → What the trench actually is — as a state of mind, not just a hard season → Why we try to do the internal work alone, and the lie underneath it → What isolation does to the mind, spiritually and neurologically → The difference between a group chat and a real trench community Scripture: Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, Proverbs 27:17, Hebrews 10:24-25, Genesis 2:18 This week’s declaration: I was not designed for this fight alone. I release the myth that needing people is weakness. I will let people in. I will show up for others. And I will build the kind of trench where iron sharpens iron and nobody fights alone. This week’s reflection question: Who in your life actually knows what you’re fighting — and if the answer is nobody, what has that isolation been costing you? Fear is Loud But God’s Word is Louder

Think about the last decision you didn’t make. Not a bad decision — the one you didn’t make at all. The step you kept deferring. The door you stood at and didn’t walk through. If you’re honest about why — underneath all the practical reasons and the ‘I’m just waiting on clarity’ language — there was fear. Fear is incredibly good at disguising itself. It shows up as wisdom, caution, discernment, patience. It borrows the language of the Spirit and uses it to keep you exactly where you are. And the most dangerous thing about fear isn’t that it’s loud. It’s that it’s convincing. In Episode 8 of Get Your Mind Right, we’re going directly at fear. Not around it. Not managing it. At it. Because God didn’t give us a spirit of fear — and it’s time to stop letting it make our decisions. In this episode: → How fear disguises itself as wisdom — and how to call it what it actually is → What 2 Timothy 1:7 actually gives us instead of fear — and why it’s more than just courage → Why God repeated “be strong and courageous” three times to Joshua in nine verses → What fear does to your brain physiologically — and why speaking God’s Word out loud is neurologically disruptive → The word for the person who has been standing at a threshold for a long time Scripture: 2 Timothy 1:7, Isaiah 41:10, Joshua 1:9, Romans 12:2 This week’s declaration: God has not given me a spirit of fear. He has given me power. He has given me love. He has given me a sound mind. Fear does not make my decisions. Fear does not determine my steps. God is with me — wherever I go. And that is louder than anything fear has ever said. This week’s reflection question: What has fear been keeping you from — and what does God’s Word say about the very thing fear is trying to convince you isn’t possible? Gratitude is a Molotov Cocktail

We’ve domesticated gratitude. Turned it into something polite. A journal habit. A birthday card. Something you do when things are going well. But gratitude in the hands of someone who understands what it actually is — is a Molotov cocktail. In Episode 7 of Get Your Mind Right, we’re talking about gratitude not as a coping mechanism but as a combat strategy. The kind that works even when you don’t feel like picking it up. The kind that throws itself at the enemy’s narrative of scarcity and abandonment — and watches it burn. And here’s what makes this different from every gratitude message you’ve heard before — the science backs it up. Consistent gratitude practice literally rebuilds the architecture of how your brain scans the world. What God commanded in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, neuroscience now confirms in the lab. In this episode: → Why gratitude is not a feeling — it’s a discipline and a weapon → The sequence in Philippians 4:6-7 that most people miss — peace follows thanksgiving, not the other way around → What the brain science says about what gratitude actually does to your default setting → The word for the person who is in a season where gratitude genuinely feels impossible right now Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 5:18, Philippians 4:6-7, Psalm 100:4, Romans 12:2 This week’s declaration: I pick up the weapon of gratitude today. Not because everything is easy. Not because the hard thing isn’t real. But because God’s faithfulness is also real. And I refuse to let what I don’t have blind me to what I do. This week’s reflection question: What narrative has anxiety been building in your mind — and what evidence of God’s faithfulness directly contradicts it? Comparison is a Thief Operating in Plain Sight

For a long time, I compared my teaching style to preachers with a more charismatic delivery. And I tried to be that. I tried to bring the drama, the energy, the movement. And it was so unauthentic it was almost painful. The shift happened when I stopped trying to be them and became myself fully. And that's when the impact I had been chasing finally showed up. In Episode 6 of Get Your Mind Right, we're talking about comparison — the thief that operates in plain sight. It doesn't feel like theft. It feels like motivation. It feels like self-awareness. But what it's actually doing is costing you the very impact you're chasing. In this episode: → The difference between being inspired by someone and being diminished by them → Why comparison withholds from the people God assigned to you → What it costs to shrink your gift to fit someone else's mold → The word for the woman who's still waiting while everyone around her seems to be getting what she prayed for Scripture: Galatians 6:4, Romans 12:6, 1 Corinthians 12:4-7 This week's declaration: I am not in competition with her. I am in completion of what God put in me. My gift is no less because hers is different. I stay in my lane. I do my work. I bring my gift — fully, without apology. Because the people God assigned to me need what only I can give them. This week's reflection question: What gift, style, or calling have you been shrinking or apologizing for because you've been measuring it against what someone else has — and what would it look like to fully inhabit it instead?
