    In this episode, I discuss a physical book and an electronic workbook to serve as your "single source of truth" as you collect the information and details about your parents' estates. Baby Boomers typically prefer to write things down in a book which Gen Xers and Elder Millennials tend to use technology to track information.

    Episode 14 - Legally Transferring Assets Without Going to Probate Court

    I cover the options available to transfer assets from parent to beneficiary without going to probate court. Not all states allow these options so check with your state laws. Some assets discussed are: digital assets, vehicle assets, real estate assets, and individual banking accounts.

    This episode discusses the list of items that you may have to go through and cancel or unsubscribe after they pass away. Some items on the list are obvious while other are not so obvious. I also discuss how to make sure you have access to be able to cancel these items.

    This episode focuses on the different types of financial accounts and how the funds in each account are legally transferred to the beneficiary. Some accounts discussed include: individual banking accounts, savings accounts, retirement accounts, social security, and pension plans.

    In this episode, I discuss the roadblocks in probate court: -lost one of the original will -inconsistent language in the wills -incorrect trust language Then I discuss my estate planning attorney's plan of action that we hope will help us get across the finish line.
