MLB & NBA HEADLINES The Guardians take down the White Sox to advance in the postseason, while Milwaukee looks to keep its momentum going. We also discuss Kristaps Porziņģis dealing with a major health issue and Brandin Podziemski landing a massive five-year, $110 million deal. STUDS & DUDS The San Francisco 49ers and Minnesota Vikings are still undefeated at 5-0, while Tyler Huntley has stepped in for Baltimore without the team seemingly missing much of a beat. Aaron Rodgers and Pittsburgh continue to impress, with Rodgers throwing three touchdowns in three straight games and the Steelers' running game looking better by the week. THE FIRST 3 A 10-year-old Utah Jazz fan named Hudson has gone viral and even got to meet the entire team. We love seeing that kind of passion, and we can only hope our kids love the Jazz that much someday! NOTEWORTHY NEWS We run through the latest headlines, including Jayden Daniels potentially returning this weekend, Pat Surtain and Riley Moss avoiding major injuries, A’ja Wilson winning her fifth MVP, LJ Martin missing a month, and Lane Johnson announcing his retirement. NBA PRESEASON Darryn Peterson is already turning heads after scoring 23 points and leading the offense, even with room to improve his shooting. Did Golden State find a gem in Yaxel Lendeborg after his impressive preseason performance? John Collins puts his hands around Dillon Brooks, who is already getting under opponents' skin, while Giannis could be headed for a monster season. Milwaukee defeated San Diego 3-1, while the Dodgers advanced past Atlanta by the same series score. We break down the biggest takeaways and discuss which teams are gaining momentum. BEYOND THE BIG FOUR Lionel Messi played what was described as his final game for Argentina, scoring in the match before a drone show celebrated his legendary career. Messi finishes his international career with 126 goals and 68 assists, 34 World Cup appearances, and 21 World Cup goals. He also became the first player to win the World Cup Golden Ball twice, in 2014 and 2022.     CFB Dynasty Midseason, Top 25 Chaos & NFL Studs and Duds We’re officially halfway through Season 2 of The CFB Dynasty, and the playoff picture is starting to take shape. Jordan is still undefeated and feeling like he has finally figured out how to play the game, but some major user-vs-user matchups are coming that should show whether he has really leveled up. Meanwhile, Masen is trending toward missing the playoffs, and BYU is struggling to find its footing. We recap a wild week of college football, starting with Iowa vs. Ohio State. Masen knew Iowa had a longshot chance, but that didn’t make the lack of competitiveness any less disappointing. Kentucky picked up an overtime win, so why are they dropping in the rankings after beating a team they were expected to lose to? BYU escaped TCU in awful weather that basically eliminated the passing game, while an injury to LJ Martin could have a major impact on the Cougars going forward. We also talk about Alabama handling Mississippi State and how badly we may have been fooled by the Bulldogs. Florida vs. Missouri gives us another example of why teams probably shouldn’t jump 13 spots after one big win. We’ll also build our own Top 25 and debate the biggest differences between the AP Poll and our rankings. Looking ahead, we preview a loaded slate featuring BYU vs. Iowa State, Utah vs. Kansas, Ohio State vs. Maryland, UCLA vs. Oregon, Georgia vs. Alabama, and USC vs. Penn State. Can BYU bounce back? CeeDee Lamb goes completely off with 17 catches for 189 yards and the game-winning touchdown, while the Jaguars pick up a big win over Cincinnati. We also talk about Deshaun Watson and the Browns and a wild week where 22 players broke 100 rushing yards. On the other side, the Cardinals continue to struggle. Trey McBride gets some questionable officiating, Marvin Harrison Jr. scores early and then disappears, Jordan Love is already calling this the longest season of his life, and Jacoby Brissett ends a game with a brutal pick-six. The Texans and Eagles are also dealing with major injury problems. Washington is without Jayden Daniels, Terry McLaurin and Mariota, while Philadelphia loses DeVonta Smith and Saquon Barkley before blowing a 20-10 halftime lead. The Buccaneers fall to 0-4 and lose Baker Mayfield for a stretch, while the Raiders look great for most of the game before collapsing late. The **White Sox swept Houston**, with the pitching stepping up when it mattered and the bats coming alive at exactly the right time.
