The Measure of A Man (Extended Edition) S2E9: REVIEW - "Pinocchio is broken..."

We're BACK after a long break and diving into one of TNG's greatest episodes — The Measure of a Man (Extended Edition)! Is Data a person or just a fancy LCARS computer? Starfleet wants to know, and so do we. We break down the whole episode scene by scene — from Data's confusion with poker to Riker being forced to argue against his own crew mate in court, to Picard absolutely destroying Maddox with one simple question. We also watched the extended edition, so we get into whether those extra scenes actually add anything (spoiler: some do, some really don't). Along the way we go full philosophy mode on AI rights, sentience, and whether any of this holds up today... then immediately compare Maddox's frustration with modern-day politics. The Outrageous Okuna: S2E4 - REVIEW - "You're a droid and I'm a 'noid."
