We also have nostalgia episodes reminiscing about the 70s, 80s and 90s including (but not limited to) music, snacks and our regular Rewind Club episode where we watch a beloved childhood staple that one of us loves, but the other hasn't seen. We recap going to toy shows (recently: Shop the Curiosity, ToyConNJ, Too Many Games, Toys for the Ages Expo) and every week we each show a recent pickup. So yeah, not super focused as far as podcasts go, but we're not super focused as people either.

    Perfectly Excellent - The Rewind Club: Labyrinth

    Ep. 55 - 8/27/26: t’s time for another episode of The Rewind Club and this month Alan has chosen the Jim Henson / Lucasfilm movie, Labyrinth. Originally released in 1985, it’s a movie that Alan has grown up with and enjoyed. Tim has never seen it, so he watched and will be walking us through the plot and commenting on what it was like seeing it for the first time. Alan will be giving his perspective having grown up with the movie. Tim has not enjoyed Alan’s previous selections for The Rewind Club. Did Labyrinth break the curse and pick a winner, or is going to be cranky Tim on this episode? Join us and find out.

    Ep. 53 - The main event this week will be the 2026 San Diego Comic Con recap. We weren’t there, but Alan & Tim have put together a list of interesting reveals and exclusives to chat about. There were definitely some unexpected toys shown off and we’ll get into it. Before that, we will have a mini version of a Do Something segment as Tim went to the Toys For The Ages Expo toy show in Gettysburg, PA. We’ll be discussing that show and Tim will show off a few pickups as well as tell a tale of a purchase gone awry.     Ep. 51 - For the 2nd week in a row, we’re going to have a DO SOMETHING edition of the show. Alan takes the lead this time has he took a solo trip to the Too Many Games convention in Oaks, PA this weekend. This was a dedicated video game show with events, demos, panels and a big show floor with lots of games to peruse. We’ll here all about Alan’s experience and if he made any retro video game pickups.     Ep 50 - We’re back with another DO SOMETHING edition of the show, this time talking about the recent Mullica Hill Toy Show in New Jersey.     Perfectly Excellent - The Rewind Club: UHF - 6/04/26

    Ep 48 - UHF starring “Weird Al” Yankovic is one of those movies that really earns the description of ‘cult classic.’ Released to minimal fanfare in a ridiculously crowded summer of 1989, its legend has grown over the years and now it’s the movie of the month for our latest installment of The Rewind Club. Tim saw this in the theaters in 1989 and has probably seen it another few hundred times since then. Alan has only seen it once and didn’t really remember much about it, making it the perfect candidate for a Rewind Club. What does Alan think of it viewing it with 2026 eyes? Is it any surprise that this is one of Tim’s favorite movies? Come and join us for the conversation.
