Episode 12 - A Look Back & Moving Forward (If we can remember where we parked)

In this episode, we’re looking back at how we started and looking forward to whatever new random adventure awaits us—assuming we don't forget the plan along the way! We are incredibly blessed to be part of this supportive, generous community. To our regulars, we are beyond grateful. To those who haven't jumped on board yet... pull up a chair. You really don’t know what you’re missing.

Episode 11 - Michael Zander and Headstone Apparel

Join us for a CRS style look into Headstone Apparel! We loved going down a couple of great rabbit holes with Michael about his horror-inspired headwear and where the brand is headed next.🎃 Get a sneak peek at "The Monster"—a themed hat releasing in the next couple of weeks that is completely off the charts when it comes to seasonal originality.💥 BOOM! Their brand-new website is officially live! One of our viewers actually asked the question about when this might be in place and low and behold - Here it is:https://headstoneapparel.com/

CRS Episode 9 - Peaky Hat

Well - in typical CRS fashion, the moment we pressed record, Ryan 2.0 dropped, but she joins us shortly after we started diving deep into things. In fairness to her, she did not plan on being part of a volleyball tournament tonight - short notice took her away from her office, but she was a trooper. An amazing episode with Peaky Hat - we dive deep into their world and could not be happier about the time we spent with them. An hour breezed by us in no time, and we hope it does for you too. Enjoy the episode!

CRS Episode 8 - Keith Minnar AKA the Big Sterkowski

Picture this: Keith sat down under a canopy, completely unsuspecting. Suddenly, his phone cut out every 30 seconds. Coincidence? Or a targeted cyber-attack by localized, highly trained squirrels hacking his feed? We’ll let you be the judge.Once we forced him out of the drop zone and into a public space, the high-stakes hacking abruptly stopped. Coincidence? We think not. The edits have been made, the signal is secure, and the evil squirrels did not prevail. Tune in to hear final cut without the chaos that prevailed during our recording for yourselfAside from the cyber-attack, we appreciated navigating Keith's adventures with him and thoroughly enjoyed the conversation and time with him.

Episode 7 - Ammo & Quilts

Welcome to our second guest episode featuring Fritz from Ammo & Quilts - A small yet mighty cap shop out of Indiana who have sealed their space in our community as a small batch cap maker!Their John Hancock hat was so popular this summer, that these two sole owners of Ammo & Quilts cranked out well over 300 of these and they still continue to put them out there. No small feat considering it takes approximately 3'ish hours per cap. All their caps are handmade and cater to the requests within the community. Anyone that owns one knows the quality and effort put into it, and anyone that does not, should at least consider adding one to your collection. We dive into the what and how behind Ammo & Quilts with Fritz and really enjoyed our conversation with him. We think you will too! Tune in, like and follow on Facebook and follow our channel here for more antics as we continue our journey into Caps and Random Sh**!

Episode 6 - Hats, Pottery, Guitars, & Gnomes

The randomness continues in this episode! Alyx attempts to figure out what a person who makes pottery is called - It's not pretty :) ... and we continue with the randomness introducing you to the new hats that dropped lately and even sharing a little bit about the music video we shared below... Most importantly we share with you who our mysterious next guest is for next week's episode! As always, expect plenty of random thoughts, lost trains of thought, and classic banter.Prince Gently Weeps from Rock Hall 2004: NEW DIRECTOR'S CUT!:https://youtu.be/CdfMh8QgJjA?si=4ib2piITH0sQsHdD

CRS Episode 5 - Guest Episode with Sarah Lopp from Funktified

The wait is over! We are officially dropping our premiere guest episode of Caps and Random Sh**! We could not have picked a better partner in crime for our inaugural launch than the amazing Sarah Lopp, owner of Funktified! In this episode, we dive into the fun and wonderful world of Funktified and the history behind it. But that is just the tip of the iceberg. We also unpack the legendary (and slightly unhinged) history of Funkybrims. Get ready for the skinny on how Chris was literally running his hat empire out of a tornado shelter, and how he eventually got evicted (in the most loving, fun way possible, of course) from the Funktified store. Just because we wouldn't be "Caps and Random Stuff" without a little extra randomness, the universe handed us some classic technical difficulties. Right in the middle of our chat, my co-host Alyx completely drops out of the conversation because a phone call interrupted her recording. Ah, the absolute struggles of being famous!

CRS Episode 4 - Bumper Stickers on a Lamborghini

Welcome back to Caps & Randoms Stuff! In Episode 4, we’re checking out the rapidly growing pin scene and trying not to determine if there is a new addiction to consider there. We also touch on the recent community drama surrounding a key hatter's price increase—and why we think it was blown a little bit out of proportion. As always, expect plenty of random thoughts, lost trains of thought, and classic banter.

CRS Premier Episode

Welcome to the premiere episode of CRS - Caps and Random Stuff (Sh**) with Paul and Alyx! We built this podcast / vodcast to celebrate our deep love for newsboy-style caps and the amazing community that surrounds them. For our premier episode, we wanted to pull back the curtain and talk about how we got started, our thoughts on ladies rocking these classic styles, and highlight some of the legendary hatmakers in the game. Of course, it wouldn’t be "Random Sh**" without a little chaos. The internet completely dropped during our very first recording. Instead of editing it out, we pushed through and left it in for your entertainment. Check out the first episode today, drop a comment, like, follow and subscribe here, on our Facebook Page, and on YouTube and let us know how you got started in the cap community! Watch & Listen for our next episode soon!
