The Lighthouse: A Metta-Somaya Podcast

Hannah Blake Schneider, Eli Bernstein, Claire Avelina

An oasis of sanity and authentic healing in the digital space.       The Lighthouse is the flagship podcast of the Metta-Somaya Institute, hosted by Hannah Blake Schneider (founder, The Somaya Method) and Eli Bernstein (founder, Metta Somatics), joined by colleague Claire Avelina. Each episode explores the real terrain of healing — individual, relational, and collective — through the lens of somatic bodywork, breathwork, neuroplasticity, and advanced healing arts modalities.      This is a space for honest conversation about self-actualization and transformation, without the polish and performance that so often distort the wellness and spirituality industries. Hannah and Eli bring decades of combined clinical and ceremonial experience to questions of what genuine healing actually requires: trusting the body, finding center, returning to reciprocity, and building practices that serve life rather than extract from it.     Whether you're a practitioner, a seeker, or simply curious about what authentic transformation looks like beneath the trends, The Lighthouse offers grounded, embodied insight for anyone navigating their own path toward wholeness. New episodes explore topics such as: a grounded call to action for the entheogenic medicine community; the present and future of somatic and trauma-informed healing; neuroplasticity through psychedelics; a science meets the sacred approach to healing that respects both “western” and “traditional” lineages of knowing; bridging divides between men and women, self and other and a humble, earth-based framework for understanding the links between our bodies, our communities and our ecosystems in a time of crisis. We explore what it means to be a good, imperfect, healing, and whole, relational human in a challenging, messy and miraculously beautiful world.  [ ✨ Stay Connected ✨ ] 🔸 Book your Retreat - https://www.somayamethod.com/ 🔸 Newsletter for updates - https://somayamethod.beehiiv.com/  🔸 Hannah Blake | Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/hannahblakeschneider 🔸 Hannah Blake | Substack - https://hannahblakeschneider.substack.com/  🔸 Hannah Blake | Website - https://www.hannahblake.co/  🔸 Eli Bernstein | Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/elijbernstein 🔸 Claire Avelina | Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/claireavelina.xo  🔸 Claire Avelina | Website - https://claireavelina.com/

How We Heal: Finding Center in a Fragmented World

The healing world is drowning in ego, distortion, and performance- and Hannah Blake Schneider, Eli Bernstein and Claire Avelina are calling for something radically different: honesty, humility, and real human presence. If you’re tired of spiritual bypassing, wellness branding, and medicine spaces that feel more performative than transformative, this conversation is your reset. Claire sits down with Hannah, founder of the Somaya Method, and Eli, founder of Metta-Somatics, to launch Metta-Somaya with a clear mission: bring sanity back into healing, and back into the digital spaces that shape it. Together, they unpack why true transformation doesn’t come from pedestal-building or polished certainty - it comes from the body, from relationship, and from the courage to tell the truth. You'll discover: 🔸 Why “safety” looks different for every nervous system, and how to actually meet people where they are 🔸 How the Somaya Method and Metta-Somatics amplify each other in trauma work, integration, and entheogenic spaces 🔸 What Hannah means by the body as subconscious mind, and why somatic healing goes beyond left-brain cognition 🔸 Eli’s perspective on metta-somatics as loving-kindness, wholeness, and the language the body speaks 🔸 How center, sovereignty, and self-respect can become access points back to your own truth The conversation gets especially powerful when it turns to softening, de-armoring, and the idea that real strength is not hardness - it’s the willingness to stay open, even when life is painful. From Rumi to relational meditation, from brainstem regulation to the ripple effect of inner healing on families, communities, and ecosystems, this episode keeps circling back to one urgent truth: your healing is not just personal. It belongs to the world. Hannah and Eli also explore what it means to steward sacred work with integrity in an age of collapse, distraction, and platform pressure. They name the stakes plainly - the future of healing depends on whether we can stay connected to the earth, to each other, and to the center that keeps us honest. Essential listening if you care about somatics, trauma healing, entheogenic integration, sacred medicine, nervous system regulation, or simply remembering what it feels like to be human again.
