Africa's media landscape is changing faster than the reporting about it suggests. Media in Africa is a ten-part podcast about the people driving the change: the editors, entrepreneurs, reporters and trainers who craft narratives and reflect African realities. Host Georja Calvin-Smith talks with guests about press freedom, shifting audiences, new ways of working and where the continent's journalism goes next. Guests include Lisa MacLeod (FT Strategies), Moky Makura (Africa No Filter), Stephanie Busari (SBB Media) and Marie Lora-Mungai (Restless Global), Ruud Elemendrop (Dutch Africa correspondent).
