You Are Who He Says You Are: Finding Identity at the Lord's Table

What does it mean to truly belong somewhere? That question sits at the heart of one of the most intimate moments in all of Scripture -- the Last Supper. When we look closely at the faces gathered around that table, we discover something that should both humble and encourage us. Jesus did not surround himself with the spiritually polished or the morally undefeated. He gathered the fearful, the doubting, the soon-to-be-denying, and even the one who would betray him. And yet he broke bread with every single one of them. This sermon invites us to reconsider what the Lord's Supper is really saying to us each time we receive it. It is not a reward for good behavior. It is not a privilege reserved for those who have had a strong week spiritually. It is an invitation extended by grace to imperfect people who belong to a perfect Savior. The table, we are reminded, never lies. Our emotions lie to us. Our memories distort the truth. But the bread and the cup speak a word that cannot be undone -- you are forgiven, you are redeemed, and you belong here. If we have been carrying labels that Jesus never intended for us to wear, this message calls us to set them down and receive what the cross has already declared over our lives.

Who God Says You Are: Breaking Free From Self-Condemnation Through the Grace of Christ

What happens when the weight of our own failures convinces us that we are beyond restoration? This message takes us deep into one of the most raw and honest stories in Scripture -- the fall and restoration of the Apostle Peter. We walk through the moment Peter denied Jesus not once but three times, and we sit with the shame and silence that followed. Yet the story does not end in failure. It ends at a fire on a shoreline, with Jesus already there, already cooking breakfast, already waiting. The central insight here is striking: Jesus never brings up Peter's denial. He does not point backward in condemnation. He points forward in compassion. We are challenged to consider how many of us have been standing at the wrong fire for years, rehearsing our regrets and letting shame write the story of who we are. The message calls us to recognize that the same grace extended to Peter is extended to us -- that our failures do not cancel our calling, and that God's mercy is not a reward for those who never fall but a gift freely given to those who do.

He Already Knew: God's Grace Was Never Plan B | I Am Who You Say I Am

What if the mistakes we have spent years grieving were never a surprise to God in the first place? That question sits at the heart of a message drawn from the life of King David, one of Scripture's most beloved and most broken figures. Through the story of David's catastrophic moral failure and the remarkable promise God had already made before that failure ever occurred, we are confronted with a truth that has the power to rewire the way we think about grace entirely. The central insight is captured in just three words: he already knew. Before David ever stood on that rooftop, before the adultery and the deception and the murder, God had already promised that David's son Solomon would build the temple. That son would be born from the very relationship David had not yet corrupted. This is not a minor detail. It is the entire point. God was not reacting to David's sin and scrambling to salvage a broken plan. He was redeeming a story he had already written with full knowledge of every chapter. For those of us who carry the quiet belief that our worst moments have somehow disqualified us from God's best purposes, this message is a direct challenge to that lie. God's grace was never a contingency plan. It was always the plan.

I Am Who You Say I Am | July 26

This sermon launches a new series focused on the believer's identity in Christ, arguing that there has never been a more critical time to establish a firm biblical understanding of who we are. What if the greatest battle we face every day is not the one happening around us, but the one happening within us? This message takes us deep into the wilderness with Jesus in Matthew 4, where Satan's very first move was not to tempt him with bread or power, but to attack his identity. Before anything else, the enemy whispered, 'If you truly are the Son of God.' That strategy has not changed in two thousand years. Every day, the same voice whispers to us that we are not forgiven, not enough, too broken, too far gone. The central truth here is both simple and revolutionary: if the enemy believed the best place to attack the sinless Son of God was his identity, how much more aggressively will he come after ours? Drawing from 2 Corinthians 5:17, which declares that anyone in Christ is a new creation with the old having passed away and the new having come, we are challenged to stop defining ourselves by our habits, our failures, and the opinions of others, and to start anchoring ourselves in what God has already declared to be true. This is not about trying harder. It is about thinking differently. And when we begin to see ourselves the way God sees us, everything changes.

For Such a Time As This | Lessons from Esther

In this message from the book of Esther, we uncover six timeless lessons for living out God's purpose in our lives — from finding favor, to navigating advice, resisting the enemy's schemes, seeking God in uncertainty, and trusting that He's always working on our behalf. Just as Esther was called for a specific moment in history, God has a divine purpose for each of us. Are you ready to answer the call?

The Rock of the Altar | July 12

This powerful message challenges us to confront a sobering reality: the altar of God has been moved in the modern church, and with it, the fire of His presence has diminished. Drawing from the dramatic showdown between Elijah and the prophets of Baal in 1 Kings 18, we're reminded that before fire fell from heaven, Elijah did something crucial—he repaired the altar of the Lord that had been torn down. This ancient story mirrors our current spiritual drought, where we have access to more sermons, worship music, and biblical resources than ever before, yet many hearts remain dry, distracted, and distant from God. The altar represents our meeting place with God, where surrender, sacrifice, repentance, and humility converge. When we move away from the altar, everything else begins to shift—prayer becomes shallow, conviction weakens, repentance fades, and holiness seems like a relic of the past. The call today is not for more entertainment or programs, but for a return to genuine surrender. We're invited to become living sacrifices, bringing our whole lives to God—not just the polished parts, but the broken areas we've been hiding. Like the Israelites who poured precious water on the altar during a three-year drought, we're challenged to invest what is most valuable to us, to saturate the altar with our tears, our struggles, and our complete surrender, trusting that when we do, God will answer with fire.

Put the Rocks Back | June 28

Somewhere along the way, many Christians stopped viewing themselves as soldiers on a mission and started viewing themselves as tourists on vacation. We’ve become consumers instead of disciples, spectators instead of servants and comfort seekers instead of Kingdom builders. But the Church was never designed to be a place where believers escape the battle. It was designed to be a place where believers prepare for the battle. The question isn’t whether we’re attending church. The question is whether we’re engaged in the mission.
