    Christians and the LGBTQ Community

Some topics don’t just start debates, they reveal what we think Jesus is like. We’re stepping into one of the most charged questions in church life: Christians, the LGBTQ community, and what it means to speak with clarity without sliding into cruelty. We put our convictions on the table without hiding behind vague language. We talk through why we believe biblical marriage is between a man and a woman, where that conviction comes from in Genesis and in Jesus’ own words, and why “I don’t affirm” should never be translated as “I don’t love.” We also make room for the real human side: friends you adore, coworkers you serve alongside, family members you’d fight for, and the gut-level fear that disagreement automatically equals rejection. Along the way, we unpack what people mean by “interpretation of the Bible,” how scripture has been misused to oppress, and why context matters without turning God’s word into whatever we want it to say. Then we get practical. We draw a bright line between conviction and control, and we challenge the reflex to micromanage someone else’s walk with God. If you’re gay and you love Jesus, we say this plainly: keep walking with him, keep asking hard questions, and listen for conviction the same way every disciple does. And if you’ve been wounded by Christians, we name that harm honestly and remind you that Christians don’t always represent Jesus well, but our failures do not change who he is. If you want a conversation that aims for truth and grace at the same time, press play, share it with someone who will talk back, and leave a review so more people can find it. What’s the hardest part for you: holding conviction, or holding compassion?

Mental Health. Real talk. Real struggles. Real hope.

Some mornings the news hits like a punch, and suddenly what you planned to talk about doesn’t matter anymore. That’s where we start: with a prayer, a heavy heart, and an honest conversation for anyone who feels unseen, overwhelmed, exhausted, or alone. If you’ve ever gotten out of bed while your soul begged you not to, you’ll recognize yourself here. We talk about depression that doesn’t “look” like depression the version that gets dressed, goes to work, answers texts, sits in church, and laughs at the right moments while quietly using every ounce of strength to survive. We also get painfully real about postpartum overwhelm, sleep deprivation, intrusive thoughts, and the terrifying shame that keeps parents from asking for help. Along the way, we name the options people need to hear without judgment: call someone, wake someone up, reach out to a counselor, and if you’re in crisis, call or text 988. Then we tackle a stigma we’re done tiptoeing around: faith and mental health treatment are not enemies. Prayer and counseling can sit side by side. Medication and worship can coexist. Jesus and your doctor are not fighting over who gets credit for keeping you alive. We also unpack masking, people pleasing, trauma, brain chemistry, panic attacks that feel like dying, and what it looks like to set boundaries when anger and anxiety start to rise. If you love someone who struggles, we share what to say and what to notice, because “You look better” isn’t always the win, but “I’m glad you’re here” might be. Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs a hand, and leave a review if this helped you feel less alone. What’s one small thing that helps you stay when today feels too heavy?

What Of God Doesn't Fix It?

Some of the hardest words to say out loud are also the most common: “I prayed, and God didn’t fix it.” We love miracle stories, and we mean it when we celebrate them. But what do we do with the other stories, the ones where the marriage still ends, the diagnosis doesn’t change, the child doesn’t come home, or the grief keeps showing up year after year? We’re asking the question many Christians whisper in private: can I still believe God is good when He doesn’t give me the ending I prayed for? We talk about how easy it is to turn prayer into a transaction, like the right amount of faith guarantees the outcome we want. We go to Paul’s “thorn in the flesh” and the uncomfortable truth that sometimes God’s answer is not removal, but grace that holds us in the middle of weakness. We also name the damage that happens when people assume unanswered prayer means you did something wrong.  Then we get painfully personal about infertility, miscarriage, regret, and longing, including the complicated emotions that can exist alongside adoption and deep gratitude. We wrestle with jealousy when other people get pregnant, the moment you cannot sing “It Is Well With My Soul” and mean it, and how God can handle honesty without shaming you for it. We even explore baptism, not as a magic reset button, but as a meaningful step when your faith has grown up and your heart wants to recommit.  If you’re still waiting, we’re saving you a seat. Subscribe for more conversations like this, share this with someone carrying a quiet prayer, and leave a review so more people can find it. What prayer are you still holding in your hands today?
