The Courage to Change Your Mind

What if changing your mind isn’t inconsistency, but evidence that you’re actually paying attention? In this episode of Feel Into It, I’m thinking about multiplicity: our capacity to hold more than one truth, question what we’ve been taught, and let new information complicate what we thought we knew. I explore the ways schooling can condition us to search for the “right” answer, the Gemini invitation toward curiosity and multiple pathways, and what it might mean to have strong convictions without needing absolute certainty. Maybe the goal isn’t to know everything. Maybe it’s to be changeable enough that reality can affect us. Feel Into It A few questions to sit with after listening: * Where are you holding onto a belief because you still believe it—and where might you be holding onto it because changing your mind feels uncomfortable? * What is something you currently don’t know what you think about? The next time you encounter something that contradicts what you believe, notice what happens in your body. Do you tense, defend, dismiss, or get curious? * What might become possible if you gave yourself a little more room before reaching clarity? The Astrology of Reclaiming Our Authority

In this episode of Feel Into It, I’m exploring the astrology behind what feels like a larger shift in our relationship with authority. Through Pluto in Aquarius, Neptune in Aries, and Saturn in Aries, I look at why we may be becoming less willing to outsource our knowing to experts, institutions, influencers, spiritual leaders, and other external sources of certainty. I connect that shift to education and ask what school could look like if, instead of teaching people to look outside themselves for the right answer, we helped them develop discernment, self-trust, and a relationship with their own inner knowing. Feel Into It A few questions to sit with after listening: * What do I know because I lived it? * What beliefs feel borrowed? * Where do I abandon myself around authority? * Where am I looking for certainty outside of myself? * What does my body feel like when something is true for me? * Can I sit in uncertainty long enough to hear what I actually think? * Can I disagree with someone without collapsing, convincing, or abandoning myself? * What would education look like if its purpose was to help people become more themselves? We’re turning Lead Into Gold

This episode is about the heat of transformation through the moments when something in our lives, identities, or ways of thinking can no longer stay in its old form. I’m thinking through this eclipse season as a kind of crucible: a place where things are put under enough pressure that they have to reveal what they’re actually made of. I talk about the changes happening in my own life, finding and trusting my voice, and what I’m learning as I stop trying to communicate correctly and start trying to communicate truthfully. From there, we get into language and grammar, what my years as an English teacher taught me about the difference between mastering rules and actually communicating, the stories and systems we inherit, intuition as a form of knowing, The Crucible and the legacy of the witch trials, and some of what I’ve been noticing while following the Lindsay Clancy trial. Underneath all of it is a question I keep coming back to: What happens when we stop outsourcing what we know and begin trusting ourselves enough to let the old form change? Feel Into It * Where is life applying heat right now, and what is that heat revealing? * What structure once supported you but now feels like it is constraining you? * What are you still editing yourself before you’ve even allowed yourself to speak? * What do you know that you keep waiting for someone else to validate? * If you didn’t need to know what comes next, what would you allow to change form? FEELING INTO | The Beginning

Hello and welcome to the beginning of Feel Into It. I’m creating this pod because I wanted somewhere to share what I’ve been thinking about and learning—through my dissertation research, conversations, lived experience, and all the unexpected connections I keep noticing between education, spirituality, relationships, creativity, current events, and the ways we’re moving through the world. I definitely don’t have everything figured out. I’m sharing what I’m learning as I go, and I’d love to invite you along. My hope is that these episodes leave you with a few new questions, a different perspective, or simply a moment to slow down and notice what’s already there. It felt right for this first episode to simply begin at the beginning. We talk about endings, starting over, trusting our bodies, questioning the stories we’re told, and what it means to stay open while everything around us is changing. Wherever this podcast goes from here, I’m really grateful you’re here for the start. Reflection Questions * What happens when I trust what I’m noticing? * Where am I still waiting for permission to say what I already know? * What if disruption is evidence that I’ve gone the right way? * What stories am I ready to look at again? * What does it mean to be a pattern disruptor without needing to convince anyone I’m right?
