Feel Your Feelings | A Transformational Journey

How to feel your feelings: I have journeyed into the world of feelings and experienced that by observing and putting my awareness on them, I am becoming like a light house. Shining my awareness and illuminating the shadows. Creating conditions for the feelings to be taken seriously, seen, felt and understood. The feelings are a part of you that has its own wants. Connecting to and completing your feelings, like letting them go through the body, is one gateway to inner freedom with yourself. I have been to my first transformation retreat held and facilitated by Julie Maria Dahl and Torstein Schiøtz Worren. Here we created constellations which was a space where feelings connected to a memory or scenario could get felt and completed. Meaning that the feeling could be expressed and then go out of the body. This is very deep work which can bring up difficult feelings from the past, but also highly rewarding and fun at the same time. For anyone feeling the call to connect deeper with parts of themselves, I highly recommend this retreat and work, and I gently guide you to Torstein's and Julie's webpage: https://vakaheim.no/transformasjon. Thank you Torstein and Julie for the energy you put into this work. Now I understand how important it is and why you are so passionate about it. Topics: how to feel your feelings, emotions stuck in the body, letting go of emotions, family constellation therapy, emotional healing, transformational retreat, feeling your feelings, inner freedom Sent with Love from your neighbor Hobbit, Elmod The Earth Person. 🌱 Inspiring genuine self-care & reconnection to community and Mother Earth. How to Deal With Anger as a Man | Anger & The Whole Man

How are you meeting the anger that comes towards you externally, but also the anger that comes up inside you? Do you open your chest up and lean against it, or do you close your chest and freeze? I have been freezing up against both external and internal anger for pretty much my whole life, and am now gently starting to change direction. Changing direction towards using the energy of anger for what it is supposed to be used for: communicating when a boundary is crossed and honoring the needs and capacity of my body. Integrating anger into our lives is, in my experience, very important, because I recognize that I am less of a man if I do not. I am half a man when I do not have the capacity to be with all my feelings. A whole man is then a man who is integrated with all his feelings, energies and emotions. Expressing them in a non-violent way, clearly and honestly. Important mentions: I offer gratitude for the guidance and help I have gotten from Torstein Schiøtz Worren. He has helped me connect more with my feelings and take them more seriously. He has helped me see my thought patterns as stories, which is possible to observe and not identify so much with, creating a bigger capacity to stay with my body and its feelings and sensations. I can highly recommend Torstein for counseling, and you can find all his information here: https://vakaheim.no/torstein Topics: anger, emotional integration, healthy masculinity, suppressed anger, boundary setting, somatic healing, shadow work, whole man, emotional regulation, men and feelings, freezing response, honoring your needs, stoic masculinity Get full access to Elmod The Earth Person at elmodtheearthperson.substack.com/subscribe

Amanita Muscaria | The Mushroom Many Fear

Do not eat or process mushrooms you don't know the name of, or don't know what it is. This is the first important reminder. The second is to move into the fear, because on the other end lies your fullest expression. I start this video off by sharing my understanding of the three biggest components in the Amanita, which are Muscimol, Ibotenic Acid and Muscarine. All three have different effects on the body, and by knowing what they do we can reduce the risk of toxicity. Muscimol is the sleep/calm component which targets the GABA-A receptors in the brain, creating the sleepy effect. Ibotenic Acid is the stress component which "stresses" the neurons in the brain and creates a "go" signal for activation. Which, with a big enough dosage, can overstimulate the neurons and in the end damage or destroy them. Muscarine is the sweat component which turns on the body's water system and can cause nausea, sweating and slow down the heart rate. Luckily for us, the Amanita only contains traces of muscarine. So it is very low. I further delve into the process of decarboxylation through boiling and drying the Amanita. Which in short adds heat to the mushroom to chemically turn the Ibotenic Acid into Muscimol. Important information: Boiling the Amanita for 2 - 2.5 hours with acid like lemon juice is widely practiced, and much of the Ibotenic Acid will either transform to Muscimol or leach into the water (which can then be discarded). Exactly how much transforms is not established by the study (mentioned below). When drying, the rate of transformation is lower. It is all about risk reduction, and not risk removal. The amount of toxins like the Ibotenic Acid and Muscarine also varies from mushroom to mushroom, the local climate and the region you live in. No two mushrooms are the same. This study went into how the toxins in the Amanita were reduced by drying and boiling it. I have also used this study for the numbers I have mentioned in the video: TSUNODA ET AL. 1993: "Change in Ibotenic Acid and Muscimol Contents in Amanita muscaria during Drying, Storing or Cooking" Here is the link: https://www.jstage.jst.go.jp/article/shokueishi1960/34/2/34_2_153/_article Get full access to Elmod The Earth Person at elmodtheearthperson.substack.com/subscribe
