More Money, God First: Faith, Financial Peace, and Building a Better Life

There is something I want to say openly: I want more money, but I don’t want money more than I want God. After experiencing bankruptcy, financial hardship, raising six children, and spending years trying to build businesses, my relationship with money has changed. I know what it feels like to check your bank account constantly, worry about whether bills will clear, and work hard without having the financial stability you hoped to build. At this stage of my life, I want something different. I want to pay bills without anxiety. I want to build savings and financial reserves. I want reliable transportation, a better home, and the ability to make choices without constantly worrying about money. I also want to use the skills and experience God has given me to build something meaningful. But I’m learning that earning money and managing money are two different skills. And I’m learning that financial success without responsibility, stability, and spiritual direction is not what I want for this next chapter. In Episode 7 of The Work Ahead, I’m sharing what financial peace means to me now, what my past financial experiences have taught me, and why I’m choosing to approach money, business, and my future differently. We talk about: * Wanting more money without feeling ashamed of that desire. * The difference between earning money and managing it wisely. * Experiencing bankruptcy and rebuilding financially. * Creating a better budget and building financial reserves. * Asking God for direction before making business decisions. * Building stability so we can serve others and create more choices. Money can be a useful tool, but I don’t want it to become the thing that controls my life. If you’re a woman navigating midlife, rebuilding financially, or wondering what the next chapter of your life should look like, I hope this conversation encourages you to think about what financial peace means to you. I’d love to hear from you: What does financial peace look like at this stage of your life? Your story is not finished. There is still work ahead. This is a public episode.
