    Why good business fail

Why Good Businesses Fail Podcast Episode — Approximately 20 Minutes [INTRO MUSIC — 5 seconds] HOST: Welcome back to The Power of Digital Marketing. Today, I want to talk about something that doesn't get enough attention. We hear a lot about successful businesses. We hear about companies that grew from nothing. We hear about entrepreneurs who built huge brands. We hear about products that went viral. But what about the businesses that had a great idea... A great product... A talented team... And still failed? Why does that happen? Is having a good product enough? Is having a big marketing budget enough? Is being talented enough? The uncomfortable answer is: No. A good product is important. But a business needs much more than a good product to survive. Today, we're going to explore some of the reasons good businesses fail—and what marketers and entrepreneurs can learn from them. Let's begin. [MUSIC FADES OUT] --- PART 1 — A GREAT PRODUCT IS NOT ENOUGH Imagine you create an incredible product. You spend months developing it. You make the design beautiful. You test everything. You finally launch. And... Nothing happens. No customers. No attention. No sales. You might think: "But the product is good!" And maybe it really is. But customers can't buy something they don't know exists. This is where marketing becomes important. Marketing isn't about making a bad product look good forever. Eventually, customers will discover the truth. But even a great product needs distribution. People need to discover it. They need to understand it. They need a reason to care. And they need to know how to get it. A great product without visibility can remain invisible. --- PART 2 — SOLVING A PROBLEM PEOPLE ACTUALLY HAVE Sometimes businesses fail because they're solving a problem that isn't important enough. An entrepreneur might think: "People would love this." But that's different from: "People desperately need this." There's a huge difference. If you solve a problem that people barely care about, convincing them to pay can be difficult. But if you solve a problem that's costing them time, money, energy, or frustration, your value becomes much clearer. with them. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
