    The Sovereign Heart

The Sovereign Heart — What If Your Heart Was Never the Enemy? What if the problem was never that your heart couldn’t be trusted—but that you were never taught how to recognize the difference between a wounded heart and a sovereign one? In this episode, I explore the heart as more than a place of emotion. Across religion, mythology, spirituality, and even our everyday language, the heart has long represented truth, conscience, identity, love, and the soul. Yet many of us have also inherited teachings that warn us not to trust it. So what happens when fear sounds like intuition? When attachment feels like love? When trauma disguises itself as discernment? And how do we learn to hear what exists underneath all that noise? Drawing connections between the biblical warning that the heart can deceive us, the ancient Egyptian weighing of the heart against the feather of Ma’at, and the modern journey of healing, I explore what it means to become sovereign within yourself. A sovereign heart is not an unwounded heart. It is a heart whose wounds no longer govern it. This episode is about self-trust without self-deception, compassion without self-abandonment, and the kind of healing that happens when we stop searching for someone else to rescue the heart we carry. Maybe awakening the heart isn’t about becoming someone new. Maybe it’s about removing everything that has distorted the signal long enough to remember who you were underneath it. In this episode: the wounded heart vs. the sovereign heart, fear vs. intuition, trauma and self-deception, the Egyptian weighing of the heart, Christianity and the distrust of the heart, self-love as an act of sovereignty, discernment, identity, healing, and what it might mean to awaken the hearts of others. The Sovereign Heart asks one question: What condition is your heart in when it speaks?
