We Didn't Plan for This Podcast

How Yoga Changed My Life

We Didn’t Plan for This PodcastLife rarely goes according to plan. People definitely don’t.We Didn’t Plan for This is about the stuff nobody prepares you for — grief, friendship, family, relationships, getting older, starting over, changing your mind, and figuring out who you are when life looks nothing like you thought it would. Some episodes go deep. Some go completely off the rails. Most do a little of both. And then there’s People Be Peopling — our slightly less serious investigation into the weird, hilarious, wildly relatable things humans do. Why do we tell our hairdresser our entire life story? Why do strangers confess their deepest secrets on airplanes? Why do group texts become emotional war zones? And why does every family have that one person?Because sometimes life is heartbreaking. Sometimes people are ridiculous. And sometimes the best way through all of it is to sit down with someone you love and say, “Okay…what the hell was that?”Real stories. Real conversations. Very little pretending we have it all figured out.We didn’t plan for this. But here we are.In Case of Emergency, Press Play: Meditation for real life — especially when real life is being a lot. In Case of Emergency, Press Play is a collection of short, approachable guided meditations for anxiety, stress, grief, overthinking, self-doubt, sleep, letting go, finding focus, and those days when your nervous system seems to have its own agenda. No perfect meditation practice required. No need to clear your mind, sit perfectly still, or suddenly become a person who has everything figured out. Just press play. Each episode gives you a few minutes to breathe, ground, reset, and reconnect with yourself — whether you’re starting your morning, lying awake at night, sitting in your car before walking into work, navigating something hard, or simply needing a minute. Some days you need calm. Some days you need perspective. Some days you just need someone to remind you to breathe. When your heart says one thing, your brain says another, and your nervous system starts doing interpretive dance…press play.

In this episode of We Didn’t Plan for This, Amber shares what happened when she started listening to that little voice telling her something was very wrong—and what it took to finally trust herself enough to walk away. 1. We Didn't Plan For This: So...This is the Plan Now

Send Us a Message What happens when the life you planned becomes the life you never saw coming? Welcome to the very first episode of We Didn’t Plan for This in its new home. This podcast was never part of the plan. Then again, neither were most of the things that brought Adrienne here. After the unexpected death of her husband, Brian, Adrienne found herself navigating a life she never imagined — grief, widowhood, parenting, probate, money, friendship, starting over, and the realization that sometimes life couldn’t care less about the plans you’ve made. But We Didn’t Plan for This isn’t just a grief podcast. It’s about all the ways life goes off-script — the devastating ones, the hilarious ones, the beautiful ones, and the completely WTF ones. In this first episode, Adrienne shares why We Didn’t Plan for This now has a home of its own, what listeners can expect going forward, and the question at the heart of the entire show: What happened in your life that you never planned for?  Have a story?  We want to hear it. Email WDPFTpodcast@gmail.com. And if someone came to mind while listening, send them this episode. Follow, rate, review, and share We Didn’t Plan for This to help more people find their way here. Because nobody really knows what’s coming. So… this is the plan now. Send Us Your Stories! Have a story of your own that you definitely didn’t plan for? We want to hear it.
