Adoniram Judson was the Massachusetts-born missionary to Burma in the 19th century. He worked in that land for nearly forty years, and created for the Burmese a Bible in their own language. He established Baptist churches in Burma and with Luther Rice helped to form what became the American Baptist Churches USA.
