John Kenneth Paranada: Frieze London Climate Special

How can art help us understand our relationship with a changing planet? Alexander Moore joins curator John Kenneth Paranada for a walk from Wellcome Collection to Frieze London. They explore Ken’s background and the path that led him to become the UK’s first museum curator dedicated to art and climate change at the Sainsbury Centre, before moving to Wellcome Collection. At the fair and in The Regent’s Park, the conversation turns to artists, materials and the responsibilities of the art world, with artist Anj Smith, Hauser & Wirth’s Head of Environmental Sustainability Cliodhna Murphy, and sculptor Catriona Robertson. Ken’s essay for How Do We Find Love?, “When Breath Becomes Weather: The Kiss Follows Climate”, connects human intimacy, ecology and the things we make and discard. Explore the artworks and photographs accompanying this episode. Recorded in London on 16 October 2026. Hosted by Alexander Moore.

Suzanne Perlman: Rediscovering a Visionary with Matthew Perlman

Born in Budapest in 1922, Suzanne Perlman fled Europe at 17 and arrived in Curaçao, where painting became her way of talking to the island and its people. Over a career spanning eight decades, she painted portraits with extraordinary 'weight' and compassion, studied abstract expressionism at the Art Students League in New York, was told by Oskar Kokoschka that her "lines are electric", and finally turned her eye on London, where she painted until she was well into her nineties. In this episode, Alexander Moore talks to her grandson Matthew Perlman, who has spent more than a decade bringing her work to a wider audience. They discuss Daily Problems, the painting on the cover of the new Skira monograph, her searing 1987 Holocaust Memorial, a rare pair of self-portraits, and how a family discovery led to acquisitions by the Rijksmuseum and the Stedelijk Museum and a major exhibition in the Netherlands. A story of curiosity, resilience and an artist who never stopped looking at the world as if for the first time.

Nicolas Grospierre: Photography, Architecture and the Sun

In the first episode of Artworld Radio, Alexander Moore is joined by French-Polish photographer and artist Nicolas Grospierre for a wide-ranging conversation about his practice. From modernist and brutalist architecture to heliograms and the camera obscura, Nicolas reflects on the ideas and encounters that have shaped his practice. The conversation also turns to artificial intelligence and what increasingly convincing AI-generated images might mean for photography's relationship with reality. Nicolas Grospierre's work can currently be seen in Land & Sea at Bowhouse, Fife, until 6 September 2026.
