A Yuma doctor, Irfan Fazil, pleads guilty to four counts in an Arizona state fraud case over AHCCCS, Arizona's Medicaid program, KYMA reports. Sentencing is set for October 2. No cartel charge has been filed against him. September 11. Mexico's Navy, SEMAR, says it detained a woman near the border port in San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora, with 5,445 rounds of ammunition. Arizona's Department of Corrections, quoted by the press, named her as corrections officer Yanet Dowden. A federal judge in Sonora bound her over for trial, the Mexican press reports. She is charged in Mexico. Not convicted. September 23. Mexican forces arrest Ernesto Enrique "N", alias Niño, in Mexicali on a federal fentanyl warrant, the defense ministry, Defensa, says. Defensa places his alleged plaza in Puerto Peñasco, not Mexicali. Not convicted. Then the piece. A block of text circulating on Facebook strings the three into a domino chain. Final tile. Chain reaction. Synchronized binational vise. In its own words, it admits public records show no direct, confirmed paper trail linking them. In the very next sentence, it says the events prove the chain anyway. Concede there is no evidence, then assert the conclusion. Authorship is unconfirmed. What is missing. The Defensa statement on Niño does not mention the officer or the doctor. The Mexican material on the officer does not mention Niño or the doctor. The Attorney General material on the doctor names no cartel. No official source links any two of them. What they share is a faction label, a region, and a month. Sequence is not cause. Nearby is not connected. Dowden and Niño are presumed innocent. Fazil has pleaded guilty to state counts only and has not been sentenced.     The Deep Dive. El Mexicano. What your news reporter didn't mention. Saturday, September 26, 2026. Medellín, Colombia. Police went into a home and came out with a man, computers, phones, and hard drives, the press reports. Medellín Mayor Federico Gutiérrez named him Fredy Chacón, alias El Mexicano. The mayor said he is wanted by authorities in the United States and called him the alleged link man in Colombia for the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). The mayor said he was placed at the disposal of Migración Colombia. That is the immigration service. Not a court. General Henry Bello of the Aburrá Valley metropolitan police, quoted by Caracol Radio, said Fredy Chacón del Real has a US record for aggravated assault with weapons and kidnapping, and has been recognized as a member of the Mexican Mafia since 2015. He cited international agencies and "Marshall." Reading that as the US Marshals Service is an inference. A prior record is not a warrant. Unconfirmed. Then the second wave. Payments of 10,000 to 15,000 dollars to La Terraza and the Clan del Golfo, per witnesses cited by General Bello. Retired police as escorts, plus armored cars, per the press. Front companies and laundering networks in Tijuana and Medellín, per El Tiempo and other outlets citing US agencies. All unconfirmed. No official statement in our file says money laundering. No company or bank has been named by any official. What is missing. No charge in Colombia. No charge in Mexico in anything we have. No US charges known. No agency, district, or case number from the mayor. No expulsion order, destination, or date published. No release from the national police, the Fiscalía, or Migración Colombia.
