Sitges Beach at Sunset | Mediterranean Waves & a Fading Horizon

Stay beside the Mediterranean as the last sunlight leaves the sand and evening colours slowly gather along the horizon. Recorded on Saturday, 10 October 2026, at Sant Sebastià Beach in Sitges, this real-time coastal soundscape looks straight out to sea. Sand fills the foreground, small waves break along the shore, and an open sky stretches above the water — a different perspective from our earlier recording facing the town. The afternoon unfolds through small, everyday moments. People occasionally cross the frame, kick a football along the water’s edge or stroll beside the waves, while children play on the beach. Between these passing scenes, the sea remains the constant presence. As the beach falls into shadow, a small catamaran crosses the distant horizon. The light continues to soften, and by the end of the recording, shades of orange and violet appear above the sea, leaving the shoreline in the dim light of dusk. The camera holds the same view throughout, letting you notice the gradual changes in colour, movement and atmosphere. No timelapse — just the natural pace of an autumn evening by the water. Listen to the waves and the life of the beach while reading, working, writing, resting or simply watching the day draw to a close. Sitges Beach at Sunset | Mediterranean Waves from Golden Hour to Dusk

Watch golden sunlight give way to dusk at Sant Sebastià Beach in Sitges. Recorded on Saturday, 10 October 2026, this real-time coastal soundscape follows an autumn sunset beside the Mediterranean. Sand fills the foreground, waves arrive along the curving shoreline, and the waterfront buildings of Sitges frame the view to the right. At the beginning, the low sun shines above the town, bathing the beach in warm light. As the evening unfolds, the glare fades, the sand falls into shadow, and soft orange and pink tones spread along the horizon. The wet shoreline catches the remaining light as each wave reaches the beach and retreats. People walk beside the water, small groups spend the last part of the day on the sand, and bathers linger in the sea. These everyday moments continue as the landscape gradually changes around them. The camera stays with the same view, allowing the transition from golden hour to dusk to unfold at its natural pace. No timelapse — just time passing beside the sea. Listen to the waves and spend a little longer with the evening. Use this soundscape while reading, working, writing, resting or simply enjoying a window onto the Mediterranean coast. Gran Vía at Night, Madrid | City Sounds Beneath the Neon Lights

Experience Gran Vía after dark, as the shops begin to close but the movement of Madrid continues. This real-time urban soundscape captures a constant flow of pedestrians and tourists beneath illuminated façades, shop signs and streetlights. An ornate round kiosk anchors the left foreground, with glass bus shelters stretching along the pavement behind it. Across the road, the former Cine Avenida building, now home to UNIQLO, adds another layer to the street’s architectural backdrop. In the distance to the right, the glowing Schweppes sign and red Capitol lettering mark the distinctive silhouette of the Carrión Building. Already a Madrid landmark, the Schweppes sign gained further fame through an unforgettable scene in Álex de la Iglesia’s film El día de la bestia (The Day of the Beast, 1995), in which the three main characters hang from its illuminated structure. People pass close to the camera, carrying shopping bags, walking in pairs or making their way through the evening crowds. As several stores reach closing time, the pavement remains busy: footsteps, passing conversations and traffic create the changing rhythm of a Madrid night. Rather than a walking tour, this recording lets you stay in one place and watch the street unfold around you — small gestures, passing faces, vehicle lights and the steady movement toward Callao. Use this soundscape as a background for reading, working, writing or simply spending some time with the atmosphere of Madrid after dark. Puerta del Sol, Madrid | A City Square During a Housing Protest

A real-time field recording from Puerta del Sol, Madrid, filmed on Tuesday, 29 September 2026, between approximately 4:00 and 5:00 pm. This recording captures one of Madrid’s most recognisable public spaces during an unusually charged afternoon. Beneath a mostly cloudy sky, with occasional breaks of sunlight, people cross the square, tourists stop to photograph the Bear and the Strawberry Tree statue, and the everyday sound of central Madrid continues around an encampment for housing rights. In the background, the clock tower of the Real Casa de Correos — the headquarters of the Community of Madrid and the building from which Spain’s New Year’s Eve chimes are broadcast — stands beside the square. On the other side, the Tío Pepe sign overlooks the movement of the plaza. The encampment began after a large demonstration against Spain’s housing crisis and the eviction of Maricarmen, an 87-year-old tenant who had lived in her home for around 70 years. Protesters called for stronger protections against evictions, action on rising rents and measures to improve access to housing. On 29 September, the camp remained active as organisers urged participants to continue the protest. During the final ten minutes, a tense exchange develops near the encampment and a group of protesters begin chanting. This video documents the public atmosphere as it unfolded; it does not endorse or oppose any person, group or political position. Use this video as an unedited window into the sound and movement of Madrid: footsteps, passing conversations, city noise, protest chants and the constant flow of people through Sol.
