Diaspora Tales invite guests with diasporic backgrounds from different parts of the world. Our guests are all active in art and culture and work in areas such as film, acting, music, design, crafts and writing. The starting point of each conversation is the craft: how the guests' diasporic experiences have shaped their artistry, their aesthetic choices and their way of working in the world. Hosted on Acast. Intro episode Behnaz & Parasto

Behnaz Aram and Parasto Backman, two creatives brought together by a shared belief in the power of stories, culture, and human connection. With backgrounds in fashion, art, and cultural production, we have both seen how identity can be shaped by more than one place. We started Diaspora Tales as an independent platform to make space for voices and experiences often left between borders. Through conversations with artists, creatives, and cultural voices from around the world, we explore movement, memory, identity, and belonging and build bridges between cultures, generations, and communities. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
