Love, Sex, and Autism
What if there isn’t one “right way” to love, to communicate, to be sexual, or to share intimacy? For too long, autistic, ADHD, and AuDHD adults have been stereotyped as asexual, disconnected, and unfeeling. Love, Sex, and Autism flips that script completely. Hosted by AuDHD Queer clinician Candice Christiansen and her partner of over 15 years, Chris Kishiyama, this podcast dives deep into the real ways neurodivergent humans connect, communicate, and navigate intimacy. Sharing their own lived experiences in a mixed-neurotype relationship, Candice and Chris look at love through a raw, authentic lens—at times drawing from Candice's bestselling book, "Love, Sex, and Autism", while always leaving room to talk about the spicy, messy, and beautifully complex aspects of neurodifferent love. All AuDHD voices are welcome here—whether you are queer, hetero, polyamorous, kinky, celibate, single, married, or just figuring it out. This is a space to explore loving on your own terms, where neurodifferences are celebrated, connection comes first, and the only real rule is that everyone is welcome.
