    Unshakable Prayers

I once heard someone say, “The size of your God will determine the boldness of your prayers.” It made me pause and evaluate my own prayers. In other words, how and what we pray for is shaped, in part, by the God we are trusting in and believing to answer. The bigger our view of God, the bolder our prayers. When the early church faced its first wave of opposition, the disciples had a choice to make about how they would respond—and what they would pray. What they believed about God ultimately shaped how they prayed. So, what do your prayers say about the size of God you’re trusting? Whatever you’re facing today or this week, we can learn a lot from the first “Good News People” about confident, bold, unshakable prayers. Join us this Sunday as we continue On Mission With Jesus and look to the early church in Acts to discover what bold, unshakable prayer looks like.

    When Care and Comfort Collide

A Right of First Refusal is a useful way to make sure that you don't miss out on an opportunity or aren't forced into an opportunity you don't want. In many ways, I think that a lot of us are harboring a right of first refusal when it comes who the Lord might be calling us to connect with for the sake of the gospel. We like the mission, but we want to be able to define the mission field. This is an ancient and universal problem for followers of Jesus, and I'm excited to jump into how it affects us like it affected the earliest Good News People.

    Power Supply

Some people love the "Season Recap" at the start of a new show, and some people can't press skip fast enough. No matter which one you are, this Sunday will provide a look back over the last year of material that we've covered as a church family with the goal of launching into a year of living on mission with Jesus. But it's not just a look back: we'll look in on the birth of the Church and see why they were told to wait after they were told to go.

    Religious Elites

there are plenty of famous rivalries around us: Red Sox/Yankees, Mac/PC, Republican/Democrat - we've seen the good and bad of those play out many times. But what about Jesus? Who was his rival, and how did he treat them? This Sunday we'll explore his relationship with the Religious Elites of his day and see how what he believed and how he behaved could change our perspective. See you Sunday!

    Sanctity Of Life

We continue our Sanctity series as we look at what the Bible has to say about life and the topics of abortion and euthanasia.

    Sanctity Of Marriage

Our culture has a lot to say about the definition of marriage, but so does God's Word. If you have questions or want to be better equipped to converse about the biblical view of marriage, you don't want to miss this.

    Vision Part 2

Last week, we cast a vision for the year ahead: to become Good News people who show and share the Gospel where we live, work, learn, and play. We ended with a simple question: Will you join us on this journey. This week, we'll discover a beautiful picture the Bible uses to describe those who answer that call. Interestingly, the part of the messenger that is called beautiful is not what we would normally expect—it's our feet! As the prophet Isaiah wrote: "How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns!" —Isaiah 52:7 We have beautiful feet, not because they are literally perfect, but because of the message they carry. Our feet are made beautiful by our purpose: to be a walking, talking display of the Good News. This Sunday, join us as we begin to see ourselves as Good News people, with beautiful feet, prepared to step into the world with the most important message ever told.
