    "Is" Means "Is," Dummkopf!

Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note. Wow, I need to apologize for the lateness of this episode; I was having a lot of technical issues! Please forgive me! In any case, in today's episode, as we celebrate the Feast of Father Abraham - he had many sons; many sons had Father Abraham! In all seriousness, we do give thanks to God for the example of faith for Abraham -- indeed, he is the example of justification by faith: "[Abraham] believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness." We also spend a lengthy bit of time talking about the Lord's Supper in our second segment, "Foundations of Faith." If you are interested in the YouTube videos featuring Pr. Will Weedon, here are the links: Part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99fmOmlcF0c Part 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsEw7ECzGlc Part 3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsY4480JyxI May our Lord bless your day!

    Noah Built an Arky-Arky

Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note. Today we look at the readings for October 2 (Psalm 3, Matthew 7:1-12, and a writing from Johann Gerhard) in our "Faith for the Day" segment. We also introduce a new segment, "Faith in the Fire," which aims to consider contemporary issues or events, and examine them through a biblical lens. Today, we dive into the recent hullabaloo over in Turkey, at Greater Mount Ararat, and the possible confirmation of the remains of the infamous Noah's ark on its slopes. This has some pretty interesting implications ... or does it? That depends on where you put your faith, and how we understand apologetics. Thanks for tuning in!

    Contemplating Compline - 9/25/26

Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note. Today, in the Faith for the Day, Pr. Heckert reads from Psalm 51, Matthew 3, and a writing from the Rev. Dr. C. F. W. Walther and discusses how they all tie together rather nicely! In our first "Faith of our Forebears" segment, we examine the Daily Offices, specifically Compline, how they've come down to us Lutherans and how these services are liturgical gold, meant to help all Christians, lay and clergy alike, in their devotional lives! Keep your iron hot and your hammer at the ready as we delve into the Forge of Faith!
