    The *tion Words Explained: Justification, Regeneration, Reconciliation, Sanctification | RD with DR

    What does it truly mean to be justified, regenerated, reconciled, and sanctified? These are not just theological terms -- they are the reality of every believer's life in Christ. This sermon continues a study of key terms ending in "-tion," focusing on four doctrines central to salvation: justification, regeneration, reconciliation, and sanctification. Drawing from Webster's 1828 Dictionary, the Oxford English Dictionary, and extensive Scripture references, we walk through each term systematically, showing how they are defined by their biblical usage and context. Justification is shown to be God's act of counting the sinner as forgiven and righteous, made possible through grace, faith, and Christ's shed blood. Regeneration is examined as spiritual rebirth, connected to the reality that sin produces death and that the believer must be forgiven of all sins — past, present, and future — to be genuinely made alive. Reconciliation is presented as God's offer of peace to His enemies, made available through the death of Christ, and atonement is shown to be essentially synonymous with reconciliation. Sanctification is defined as being set apart for a sacred purpose, with a distinction drawn between the positional sanctification every believer receives at salvation and the experiential sanctification that reflects personal choices in daily life.

    Guest: Judah Peters

    Guest speaker Judah Peters, a pastor's kid from Trinidad and Tobago, delivered his first public sermon message to a church audience, drawing from his personal journey through various theological frameworks before discovering the rightly divided word of truth. Using a three-part framework of Day Zero, Day One, and Day Two, he laid out God's clear intention for every person living in the dispensation of grace: that all men would be saved and come unto the knowledge of the truth. Day Zero describes the spiritually dead person before salvation. Day One is the moment a person places faith in the gospel of Christ's death, burial, and resurrection, receiving a complete and finished package of spiritual blessings in Christ. Day Two is the ongoing life of the believer, characterized by the renewing of the mind and the acknowledging of every good thing already received in Christ. He closed with an urgent call for believers to proclaim the gospel of grace to others, affirming that the impact of a simple, grace-preaching church extends far beyond what any one congregation can see.

    The Five Suppers | Rightly Dividing with David Reid

    A scriptural analysis distinguishing five significant suppers in the Scriptures. This sermon examines five distinct suppers found in Scripture, distinguishing their significance, timing, and participants. Beginning in Revelation 19, where two different suppers appear in the same chapter, we work through each supper systematically to show that they are not interchangeable events. The five suppers span from the historical Last Supper before the cross, to the ongoing memorial of the Lord's Supper, to the future events of the Supper of the Great God and the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, and finally to the Parable of the Great Supper. Together, these five suppers form a broad biblical narrative covering redemption, memorial, judgment, eternal joy, and the tragedy of unbelief.
