    3 - Invisible Underbelly

Before you listen to this episode, I want to share two warnings: 1. This episode in particular might be an upsetting listen for someone whose grief is very fresh. 2. There is a reference to paramedics/ambulances which could be triggering. Please take care of yourselves - you being alright today is much more important to me than a podcast download. This is, without a doubt, the most exposing piece of art I have ever created. I talk about taboos: estrangement, dual loss, substance abuse disorder, and some of my least favorite thoughts that have entered my brain since my dad died. 1 - We Called Him Kenny

This is the first part of a 4 part series about my dad, and the effect his life and death had on the people who loved him. In this episode, I introduce you to him, the real him, before he started to struggle with alcoholism and the side effects of repeated head injuries. There's a lot for me to untangle still, and I hope you'll keep me company while I work through the grief I've been holding onto in the 5 years after his death.
