Why Not Me? The Podcast Ep 3 - Why Are You Last on Your Own List?

“How do you do it all?” The answer is simple: you don’t. In this episode of Why Not Me?, Tatiana challenges the idea of perfect work-life balance and gets into what it actually looks like to make room for yourself when your life already feels full. We don’t all have the same 24 hours. We have different responsibilities, resources, families, jobs, and levels of support. But most of us can benefit from getting real about where our time is actually going and what deserves more or less of it. Tatiana talks about intentionally letting some balls drop, asking for help, requiring the people around you to carry their share, outsourcing when possible, overcommitting, perfectionism, doomscrolling, and all of the invisible obligations we create for ourselves. Because every yes has a cost. Sometimes making room for what matters means deciding what can temporarily get less of you. Sometimes it means accepting help. Sometimes it means realizing something was never yours to carry in the first place. Then comes the bigger question: If you actually had more time, what would you want to do with it? Not what would make you more productive. Not what you could monetize. Not what your family needs from you. What do you want? From running and hobbies to quiet mornings before the responsibilities begin, this episode is about making yourself less negotiable in your own life. Maybe balance isn’t about distributing your effort equally. Maybe it’s about distributing it intentionally. And maybe the goal isn’t becoming efficient enough to cram even more into your life. Maybe it’s creating enough room to actually live it. HOMEWORK At least once this week, wake up a little earlier than you normally would and use those extra minutes for you. Read. Walk. Journal. Work out. Make yourself breakfast. Listen to music. Sit in silence. It doesn’t need to be productive. It just needs to be yours. Pay attention to what making that small deposit into yourself does for the rest of your day. Why Not Me? The Podcast Ep 2 - Stop Waiting For Permission

Permission doesn’t always look like asking, “Am I allowed to do this?” Sometimes it looks like needing your friends to love the idea. Researching until you’ve convinced yourself you need just a little more information. Waiting to see someone else do it first. Looking for the perfect blueprint. Staying somewhere you’ve outgrown because walking away would mean admitting you changed your mind. In this episode, Tatiana shares her story and the many different ways permission and validation have shown up throughout her life. From leaving a successful corporate career at 23, making expensive mistakes, building a business from the ground up, reaching major financial success, watching that business fall apart, becoming a mother, discovering running, going from 30-second run intervals to the marathon, building a community, and eventually leaving corporate America again, this is a story about learning to trust yourself through every version of who you become. Because giving yourself permission doesn’t guarantee you’ll get everything right. It means trusting yourself enough to know that when you don’t, you’ll figure out what to do next. Tatiana also explores the sunk cost fallacy, tying your identity to achievement, knowing when support becomes outsourced decision-making, moving with fear instead of waiting for it to disappear, and why sometimes the yes you’re afraid to give yourself is the one that changes the trajectory of your life. We don’t actually know what’s on the other side of our yes. We know what staying still gives us because we’re already living it. Why Not Me? The Podcast Ep 1 - Why Not Me?

What’s the thing you can’t get out of your head? The business idea. The trip. The career change. The hobby. The race. The thing sitting in your Notes app that you keep saying you’ll do “one day.” Welcome to the very first episode of Why Not Me? In this episode, Tatiana Forbes introduces the question that has changed the way she moves through life: Why not me? Not “why does she get to have it?” but genuinely asking yourself why you couldn’t be the person who goes after the thing you want. Tatiana shares why fear kept this very podcast on the sidelines for more than a year, what finally made her start, and what you can expect from the show. Why Not Me? won’t fit neatly into one box. We’re talking ambition, fear, motherhood, running, success, reinvention, money, perfectionism, changing your mind, wanting more, and everything that happens in the space between “I could do this” and “I’m actually doing this.” This first episode is an invitation to get curious about what you want before immediately talking yourself out of it. Because somebody is going to do it. Why couldn’t that somebody be you? HOMEWORK Put a name to the thing you want.Say it out loud. Write it down. Then pay attention to what comes up when you allow yourself to actually consider going after it. KEEP UP WITH WHY NOT ME?
