005: From Survival Mode to Abundance Mindset with Dawn Loding

What if the life you want starts with one question you ask yourself every morning? Recorded live at Stages & Pages, Alexa Bigwarfe sits down with Dawn Loding, a realtor for 25 years, mentor, and recruiter with more than 500 agents in her Epic Realty organization. Dawn shares how she went from a divorced mom working two jobs to a life she designs on her own terms, and why a real estate license can open doors to coaching, investing, speaking, and leadership income. She explains her Living Above the Line framework, the difference between manifesting and wishful thinking, and how losing her grandfather sparked her career. Alexa opens up about building her businesses around the memory of her daughter Catherine, and the two talk about grief, pivoting, and the power of choosing how you show up each day. This conversation is a reminder that community, action, and a willingness to break old patterns can change everything. Women are stepping up together, and that is what betting on we is all about. 004: How Roshanda Pratt Bet on Herself and Built a Visibility Brand

You never lose when you put all the chips on yourself. Alexa Bigwarfe sits down with her friend Roshanda Pratt, international speaker, Amazon bestselling author, and founder of Visibility Is Power. Roshanda shares how her husband’s push to “bet on yourself” led her to leave a 20-year career in television news. She explains how she wrote her first book in 30 days, and how live book signings and real community grew her authority long before live video went mainstream. The two also talk honestly about pricing, boundaries, and refusing to prove your worth to prospective clients. They reflect on the women who gave them permission to show up as themselves. Roshanda’s story shows that every bet on yourself compounds when you keep investing in your growth. Your voice is someone’s answer, so your visibility matters. 003: Women Own 40% of Businesses but Earn Under 5% of Revenue

Women own more than 40% of US businesses, yet they bring in less than 5% of the revenue, and Alexa Bigwarfe wants to know why. Alexa digs into the numbers behind women’s entrepreneurship, from solo businesses built around caregiving and flexibility to the funding gap that sends most women founders to their own savings and credit cards. She shares what the research says about how investors question women differently, why women-founded startups generate more revenue per dollar invested, and where money in women’s hands tends to go. She also highlights the women and organizations already making a difference, including NAWBO, Women’s Business Centers, IFundWomen, the Amber Grant, and VWISE, and shares her own story of taking on $60,000 to $70,000 in debt while growing her business. Supporting women takes more than saying it, and it starts with noticing where your own money, referrals, and attention already go. Alexa closes with simple, practical ways to bet on other women and on yourself this week. https://bettingonwe.com

002: How Women Over 40 Turn Ageism Into Business Success

More than 455,000 women left the US workforce in just eight months of 2025, and many of them are building something better. Alexa Bigwarfe opens Betting on We with her own story of starting a business she didn’t know she was starting, from blogging after the loss of her child to founding Write | Publish | Sell while managing family health challenges, daycare costs, and a job market with no flexibility. She digs into the data behind why women are leaving traditional jobs, from caregiving demands to the age bias that makes women “invisible” after 40. Then she shares the stories of women who built big things in their power years between 35 and 60, including Sallie Krawcheck, Reshma Saujani, Madam C.J. Walker, Julie Wainwright, and Bobbi Brown. If you’ve ever wondered whether it’s too late to build your own thing, the research says your timing is just right. This is the start of a community where women support each other, learn from each other, and keep betting on we. https://bettingonwe.com

001: Why Women Entrepreneurs Grow Faster When They Bet on Each Other

The fastest way to grow your business might be the women standing right beside you. Alexa Bigwarfe opens Betting on WE with her own story, from turning to writing after losing her infant daughter to building a publishing, events, and podcasting business without formal business training. She gets honest about the mistakes that cost her roughly $100,000, including trying to do everything at once and running as an ideas person with no one to handle follow-through (hello, 92 unused domains). Alexa explains why knowing how you operate matters as much as knowing your why, why paying women for their expertise is smart business, and why talking openly about failure helps every woman building something big. This is the start of a show built on real conversations about the wins, the setbacks, and the women who help make success possible. Share it with a woman who’s growing something, because we're better together. https://bettingonwe.com
